This Year's DVC Member Pin(s)

Did anyone pick up this year's first DVC member pin? I'd like to see what they look like.

The first one came out in January and the second in March.

Thanks Kent - just to clarify, are these the first two limited edition DVC pins of the year? They look similar in style/theme to the regular open edition DVC pins of past years.

I believe they are Limited Release not Limited Edition.

One is Limited Edition and the other is Open Edition. Unfortunately, I took the pins off the cards so I don't know which is which. I'm sure someone out there will know.

Can you get both at any Park or DVC Resort or do you need to purchase the pin at the Park that the pin represents?

I bought both of them at Pin Traders at DTD. I 've been told they are sold at the DVC gift shops-you have to ask the clerk. I believe Epcot sells them also at one of the pin shops.

I ordered mine from WDW Mail Order. You will just need to fax them your ID card to prove that you are a DVC member. Of course, you will have to pay shipping. I went ahead and ordered the first two just in case they are not available when we go again in September. (Yes, I am paranoid. )

There is a link to pin trading on the DVC site under Member Perks - At Home Perks, but I just went through the event services part of the Disney site. (The link from the DVC site was blocked by my network security. )

You can also search for DVC pins on the site. You can e-mail or phone, which is what I did. There was one pin that I wanted that was no longer available and the CM was able to tell me right away. I received the pins in around 10 days.

2 weeks ago I tried at BWV & BCV, but they didn't have them...maybe the CM didn't know where they were!

I was able to get at VB.

Are they both sold out already? I hope not! I still have to wait another month before my trip.

There were four special DVC member-only pins sold last year. These are completely different than the ones that they (possibly?) hand out during DVC tours, which come branded with their logo.

When we went during August, SSR still had two different in stock (and they were limited editions). I believe that they were still in stock at the pin store on Main Street in the MK as well. One came out after our August visit.

From what I can tell, they are only sold at DVC resorts and at a few select pin stores, right next to the Annual Passholder pins (under the glass). They were a very nice quality of pin last year.
