Hey all my Universal fans! Sick of hearing that from your Disney fan friends as you all walk around Universal? Here's something that would shock even them! A Magic Kingdom trash can during MVMCP.

LOL, I am shocked. :rotfl: This is not what I was expecting to find in the 'Universal' Forums. I have never seen anything quite like that at Disney. Point well taken from a 'Disney' fan. I'm looking forward to our first US trip in a couple years. :)

That is gross and un called for

I saw a trash can inside Mickey's Philharmagic once that was almost that bad. There was soda dripping all over that nice carpet in the line right before you get to the pick up area for the 3 D glasses. And trash in the queue also. There was a cast member standing right there beside the trashcan doing the line count for the theater. This was when Philharmagic had only been opened for a few weeks. I was so worried about the carpet being ruined and upset with people for even bringing in food or drinks. I don't blame Disney though as that attraction used to have long wait times and people are slobs.

To be fair, I've also seen trash cans like that at Universal during HHN and Mardi Gras. I urge anyone who sees a mess like that to tell a team member and ask them to contact park services immediately. I know Park Services make their rounds but don't wait for the next scheduled cleaning when a trash is overflowing. Let someone know at Disney or Universal when you see a mess. If they don't know about the mess they can't fix it.

I've only ever seen one garbage can like that at WDW. It was in Animal Kingdom outside a washoom. It was during normal hours. I think I took a photo as well, lol, after all the people coming on this board and complaining about how dirty Universal is.

To be fair, we haven't heard those complaints from Disney peeps for a few years now. I think the WWoHP has brought quite a few over to the dark side...

You should really go to the WDW website & send this photo to their customer service dept, that is SHOCKING!!!! That is sooooooooooooooo below Walt's standards !!! :santa::santa::santa:

I think if you looked around enough you would find the same thing in every park on any given day. . . . . .

The ones in the que for Soarin look like that every time I ride (usually go in July every year). I have a hard time believing Disney has any standards any more!

Clearly, this photo has been doctored -- because we all know garbage magically disappears from Disney.

I have been going to Disney for the last 8 years & never seen a trash can like that in any of Disney's parks.

That would never happen in Universal! :scared1:;)

As horrible as it looks you really have to give the park employees a break during the most peak crowd times. They can only do so much, while they're dumping one can the next one down is flowing over kwim.

That is disgusting Busy or not, there is no excuse for it to get that bad.

However, I'm going to put a big part of the blame on the park guests. Let's face it, there is no shortage of garbage cans in MK. Are you telling me that people couldn't hold onto their garbage for another 30 feet to find a garbage can that wasn't overflowing? :confused3

Perhaps Disney should reinstitite the motto of "exceeding the guests expectations"... Of course that would mean scheduling more than the bare minimum of CM's. Do they really want to do that with the next quarterly report due to hit Wall St. Soon?

Sadly I see more "reality intrusions"at WDW than ever before,USF has them too but I grew up in a Disney that never saw trash, lights out or empty anthing.I do understand that $$$ makes the world and World go around and expect to see more of the same.

I saw 3 or 4 cans like that on Saturday 11/12 at the Magic Kingdom. End of the night on a midnight close.

Midways were dirty reaching out from the hub to fantasy land and tomorrowland. I get it was busy and understand it at 11:30 pm after wishes and 2nd parade. the problem? the cans and midways looked the same as i left during evening magic hours around 2am! same for space mountain queue.... trashed!

the part I really enjoyed were the 4 sweepers chatting with each other at the hub while i kicked the trash out of the way.
