This UY: What size units did you visit?

Thinking only of this Use Year (UY), what size DVC accommodations have you booked using your DVC points?

My answer: Studio, 1BR, Specialty Unit (Treehouse). We tend to hop around with respect to both resort location and unit type; this year was typical behavior for us. How about you?

We did 10 nights in Poly studio (we had 2 adjoining, my parents and my DH and I are both DVC and always go together) and 3 nights in the bungalow. We stayed non dvc last year on a free dining trip and banked points for our Poly trip.

I was going for whatever you consider your current UY. (Almost a "pick one, recent, 12-month time period. Any one ... but try to stay w/in a single 12 month period.") Just watching for a measurable, recent, period. If your 1BR in Oct was the only stay for that UY, you did fine! Thank you!

Just checking, as I pondered this when constructing the pole: Does Vero GV = Vero Beach Cottage? Or are there both Cottages and GVs? Thanks for your help with this clarification.

The Beach Cottage is certainly on our DVC Bucket list, also!

We've done part of your path (from initial 1BR to "friends/family=larger units") but have not yet progressed to multiple studios. Hmmm ...

Heh, heh ... this has been a good year! Well done! (Last UY we stayed in a Cascade Cabin ... but that was all we did. We were thankful for banked points from the prior year to make it happen. Just love the Cabin. Sigh. Dreaming of a return ... someday!)

Trips in current UY (2018) were/are from October 2018 to May 2019. Mostly did a 1BR.
CCV studio 1 night
HHI studio 1 night
HHI 2BR 2 nights
BLT 1BR 7 nights
SSR 1BR 2 nights
*BRV studio 1 night for niece to use

2019 UY trips will be Sept 2019- summer 2020.
BWV 2BR 8 nights
CCV Cabin 2 nights
* rented out studio at BWV for 7 nights
*HHI 1BR or 2BR for 2-4 nights?? not booked yet (will go May-July...Aug UY)

So studio is our least booked, then 1BR and 2BR are equally booked. The cabin will be a one and done and we only have stayed in a GV one time for 3-4 nights at HHI. Booking the big daddies (GV or cabin or bungalow or treehouse) will be rarity. Maybe more often once kids get married (they are all 20somethings now).

In my Jun UY we have stayed in multiple resorts Studios and taken 2 DCLs.
In my Feb UY we have stayed in multiple resorts Studios, some time multiple rooms at the same time with family.

June 2018 use year was be two 7 night trips in an OKW one bedroom, June 2019 will be 2 7 night trips in an OKW 2 bedroom.

We stayed in a BCV studio and a BLT 2 BR LV Lock-off in the 2018 UY. Our Feb UY just rolled over.

We stayed in a 1br and 2br at BLT in 2018, because we had banked points from 2017. Now we are points-poor.
