This Sunday Dec 4th

My mom is coming down to visit and wants to go to Disneyland for the first time in years, we are going to be able to go on 1 day only,this Sunday the 4th. I didn't realize until just now that the candlelight processional is that day, if we plan to just ride rides and see the fireworks and avoid the processional should we be ok? When is the processional and is it going to be very busy all day due to it? I hope not as my first time back this year since I got my pass was veterans day and I was so dissapointed I left without even going on any rides (didn't realize it was a holiday when I planned to go). Anyways, please let me know. Thanks!
