Whenever we have a "free" day at Six Flags, yes, my family goes for free, but I pay $400-500 as my share of all the employees' families going, too.
Forgive me if I don't cry for law firm partners. The rock-bottom compensation for a partner at my firm this past year was $500,000, with the majority of them making closer to $750,000. The associates make $140,000 straight out of school and get bonuses starting at $25,000. Managers with 20 years experience and MBA's are capped at a $5,000 bonus. Directors at $10,000. We consider ourselves to be well compensated and like our jobs - that is on most days...when the partners aren't whining about having to shell out 400 bucks so that we can have a firm outing.
