This says it so well!!

Today was the first day of our stay at home order and there were so many people out driving around.

I was only out because I am employee of an essential government service and have to go to work still. If I could I would be staying home.

As a non-medical person, getting stir crazy after just a few days of this, and wanting to be able to go about my life like normal again..

STAY AT HOME PEOPLE!!!!

And my extreme admiration and gratitude to those in our healthcare system who are going to be on the front lines. Thank you!

Us too. My husband still HAS to go to work (he works for UPS, and I'm gonna guess that many here are STILL ordering from Amazon and other places that ship via UPS), and it scares me everyday that he's potentially exposing himself. Volumes are UP, so someone is ordering. LOL It's another set of unheralded employees out there who still have to work...grocery store workers, other retail employees at Target and Walmart (and similar), truck drivers, and delivery people. Without them, we'd all be screwed right now. Thank you to all of them.

God bless those grocery store & pharmacy workers. They have no personal protection, but there they are, as close to the public as anyone. They are working so hard to keep necessities available for all of us. And all that I have encountered are still pleasant & helpful.

The delivery workers are appreciated too. Hopefully they can “drop & go” without too much exposure. When people can get what they need delivered, they don’t have to go out & risk catching or spreading this disease.

I don't see a problem with going for a drive - CDC has even put it on the list of acceptable activities.

You have absolutely no idea why all of those people were out. Of course, you had a valid reason, but nobody else did. :rolleyes2

So do you PURPOSELY find a way to spin everything ANYONE says or just what I say?
I'm telling you how I'm reading your post. I would have had the same comment regardless of who said it. If you weren't judging others for being out, then I apologize.

Yes but it seems every thing I post you take as me saying I am the only that matters. Here because TOO MANY people where out driving around for the town being on a stay at home order. And on another thread when I said I didn't take into account other not being able to pick up alcohol from the grocery store when I said that liquor stores should not be closed. When in fact NEITHER of those is at all what was saying.

I live in my town, I know what it SHOULD look like when people are staying home. The traffic the other day (when I posted this) was TOO MUCH. It looked no different than a regular traffic at noontime.

How about we try and keep this thread civil, thinking of and thanking our first line responders, health workers and many others and all they are doing for us, and not turning it into a personal back-and-forth ***** session?. Please. If you still want to, I guess, have at it.

Breathe in. Breathe out.
