This purchase moving really slow.

So today I got a call about an offer I put in 4 days ago at fidelity. I had followed up the day after with no response so I made this offer on on resale market. I've used them before. This will be my 4th resale contract and holy crap has the customer service/speed completely died. Usually after we have a deal it only takes an hour or two before it's off to Disney. I had to follow up asking when we were getting our purchase agreement and have now been waiting over 24 hours for a call for the deposit. Anyone find things are running really slow comparatively to historical turn around?

My Fidelity agent (pre-covid) was maddening. I think a week to even submit it to ROFR, who even knows, communication was not great. Maybe it was the seller, maybe fidelity, who knows.

But after ROFR, the title company takes over, so who cares.

I would still use fidelity again, it was worth it for the deal I got, and what difference does a few days make in this process.

I am using fidelity for my current BCV resale as well. This go around they sent the contract to ROFR within a day. I did use them last year and it took 1 week to submit to ROFR. Turned out the seller was old school and printed/mailed contract from east coast instead of esign. So no fault on fidelity. Like previous posts have written, if you are saving a lot and it taking longer anyways, then a couple of days/weeks will be fine.

I think a lot of people selling contracts are “older” and operate on a different timetable. But I also find custimer service has changed drastically over the last year everywhere. It’s like no one gives a ____ about anything anymore.

I agree 100%. There is no follow up anymore or common courtesy. I work in real estate and it’s rare that a fellow agent will respond to a text after a showing asking for feedback, unless their client is interested in putting an offer. I’ve requested quotes for work done on my house and gotten no response, I guess they don’t want my money. It’s crazy.
