This Promo Has Me Down

We are booked for the Poly Garden View from April 18-25. My TA says that the Polynesian is not available with the promotion during my travel dates, and she can't apply the code. Has anyone else tried to apply the promo to these dates at the Poly and succeeded?

In order to take advantage of the promotion I would have to change resorts to either Beach Club or possibly Wilderness Lodge (standard view, woods view, or club level).

This is our first family trip to Disney and were so looking forward to staying on the monorail and the atmosphere of the Poly. We don't think we'll be returning any time soon after that, so this is a trip of a lifetime type thing.

However, the savings are substantial. With park hopper and dining,

WL woods view would save us about 1,964.00
WL club level savings is 1,337.77
Beach club savings around 1,649.55

Worth it? Any opinions/advice?

Call back and check again. At 5 pm Poly was included, I got 4/13 - 4/19.So did many others...

I could've sworn I read somewhere on that mega-thread that some people were booking the promo at the Poly and I was getting depressed. I can understand if we were attempting to book a new ressie and they "sold out".. but when we already have a reservation, why not let us apply the code? It's just that I didn't see any block out dates for my time period, so I thought we had a good shot at it.

Misery loves company, I guess.. LOL.. Sorry it didn't work out for you either.
I am really thinking we'll stay put at the Poly, but if someone could convince me to switch....

OK you are asking for opinions and I am happy to share mine although others may not agree!

I have stayed at all 3 af the mentioned resorts and LOVE them all for different reasons! LOVE BC for access to Epcot and HS as well as the nightlife on the BW. LOVE Poly because it is sooo convenient, room sizes and themeing. HOWEVER, I LOVE WL for other reasons. The resort is amazing, pool is great and the peace that you feel is welcomed after a crazy day at the parks!

I have been fortunate to be able to stay at most of the deluxe resorts and I have to say that WL is at the top of my list!!!!!!!!!! Poly and BWI are CLOSE but there is just something about WL that makes me feel like I am in Disney but still on a relaxing vacation!

Thank you for your opinion! We're in MA too. I was just looking forward to the "tropical" feel of the Poly, because being from MA , we see a lot of pine trees and camping stuff. KWIM? And BC, although beautiful, is sort of themed after Cape Cod/Martha's Vinyard (where we spend a lot of time) Poly's atmosphere is so very different from what I'm used to around here..palm trees and all...

But don't get me wrong, both resorts do look beautiful.

All I can say is if your heart is set on Poly....keep checking the website for it. I original had CR MK View room and the CM told me...no the 4/7 isn't available for this room..but for the bay view it is. So I switched to Bay View. For the heck of it...about 10 minutes after I hung up I checked online again...sure enough a MK View Room was available ( it was probably the one she just canceled on me lol) ...if it wasn't the fact I had insurance with my orig. I would of booked online directly. I got back on the phone...told the new CM what I was looking at he pulled it up sure enough there it was available. I switched it back! I just checked now...1/2 hour after....no more. So keep trying every so often....if you don't risk losing any money by canceling with you TA....book it online. You can always tell the TA what you did and they can transfer that reservation to them...so your TA doesn't lose her/his commission.

Well, initially, my TA said that I may have to book a room only reservation for the 18th, and then apply the promo to the stay beginning the 19-25. I thought that would work fine, but alas, she then wrote me back and said that the Poly wasn't available for my travel dates.

I called Disney myself, and of course the CM couldn't access my reservation because I am going through a TA. She said there were no block out dates, and that she thought there were only a set amount of rooms for this promo, the Poly was included, but they sold out. I want to cry.

Have you tried online? People have been able to do things online that TAs and even CMs weren't able to.

Plus - there may be some availability first thing in the morning. A LOT of people have double reservations now as they make a new one and cancel an old one and they haven't been processed yet... (the CM said that is what is happening with mine, this isn't just conjecture...)

Our reservation is for the 11th - 17th. My Travel Agent couldn't get us in the Poly using the codes. We'll have to choose another resort because I want to take advantage of the offer.

So you were able to book during the blackout dates? We are traveling the April 10-17th and thought we were shut out!

I checked the website for you and the Poly is not available for your dates. For your kids ages - I would go with the Yacht club. You can't beat the pool there!

I just went online, and played with dates, and the Poly is available with the promo for the week BEFORE we want go 4/11-4/18 and the week AFTER we want to go 4/25-5/2. But not available for my week. I can't be flexible with my dates because I'm a teacher, and that's our school vacation week.

I need to stop digging around for info. It's giving me a headache.

I checked the website for you and the Poly is not available for your dates. For your kids ages - I would go with the Yacht club. You can't beat the pool there!

I didn't see the Yacht Club available for my dates. Do the Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts share a pool?

I have been able to get the Poly with the dates of April 19th to the 26th but not for the Sat to Sat dates
