It's been a while, and I have near completely forgot intentionally last year's trip.

So on Pinterest the other day I saw this pic, and it exactly explains me whilst I'm driving.

Yes, if you have antenna toppers I don't care if you cut me off in traffic. You are forgiven.

So we're back and thinking of travelling again in early December to LA for a week or so including DL for maybe 3 or 4 days. If a few things can fall into place, like my bonus we'll probably look seriously at heading off. We did look at going to Tokyo briefly but DH isn't convinced.

So please welcome me back with open arms - I know I've been super slack with posting, but at least after the last trip I couldn't do a lot of posting.
DH and I both feel like we need to go with DD9, will be DD10. No SIL, no other extended family. Just the three of us. And we won't tell DD until the day before and after school breaks up on 6 December, we'll may go on 7th (DD will need a new passport before than because of the 6-month rule, we'll just let her know that we keep them up.

If I was a betting person :rolleyes1 I'd say perhaps 5 to 1 at present of going, pretty good odds.

 Nice to see you back. (And your front as well).

Is this the start of your PTR/TR??? popcorn::

Welcome back Kylie, from another who has been super slack (but is now super excited to have another trip to plan).

Oooh! Jade! When are you going? I've got one planned for late Sept/Oct 2013. Your ticker looks rather close to those dates.

Yep Sep/Oct 2013. I picked a random date as I wanted to have a new ticker hehe.

We are bringing MIL and FIL. It will be their first time in the US. I am trying to decide between 6 different cruises for mid September, then 12 nights WDW - probably at POR.

Very excited!!

Welcome back I'm sure it must feel great to have another trip in the works.
I have been wondering for a very long time how your DH got on with the doctors after you got home and hoping everything was ok:confused3 but since your planning again I assume all is well.
happy planning:)

Sounds great! My WDW time is pretty much set for that 1st week in October; most likely 29th September onwards for 6 or 7 nights. We'll have to see if our time at WDW overlap for a possible DisMeet. :thumbsup2

This is my "tentative" trip report. DH isn't 100% convinced. I am.

Hi Jade +3.

Long story short, DH got the "it wasn't a heart attack, we don't know what it was" speech, and his Cardiologist and Specialist Cardiologist Surgeon both think that his heart is pretty tough as he didn't suffer permanent or any damage they can find after the incident. Though he's been told to stay off Expedition Everest and the like. I don't think he needs to be told. He's also been forced into other adjustments which will help him out.

When we landed in Brisbane last October my stress level disappeared as I thought we're home now, if anything goes wrong it will be so much easier.

The trip also led to me having a lot of tests, elimination tests, pokes, pricks, and everything else. Nutshell, HFCS and a few other additives don't agree with me, and the dietician through everything has made it official. As it's not common here it's not really an issue, though next trip will be a little more interesting.

DD's knee is very slowly mending. Still can't do any impact sports, no running, jumping, dancing etc, and still tires very easily. I think DD is one of the concerns we have with going. We would like her next holiday to be easy on her, and not having to restrict her movements, medicines, wheelchairs, etc.

Wow, the drama, and I still want to go!!!:yay:

Oh welcome back to you my Port Orleans buddy!! :cheer2: I wondered where you had been and that's great to know you have another trip in the works. I so wish I had another WDW trip in the horizon but sadly no, so I just lurk on here and live vicariously through others :rotfl2:

Me too :sad2: I'm going to do my best not to have any HFCS next trip, but it's in almost everything! :confused3 I think there's some good threads on the disability board, I'm going to study them before we head over next time.

Pretty much as soon as we got to Mexico on our last trip my stomach settled right down, and HFCS is the only thing I can think of as being different. Time zone is the same, we were still eating out and eating rich foods, still doing everything to excess, but Mexico uses sugar, so go figure

i've heard of similar aussies who go to the states and suddenly get really sick from the HFCS. i hope that there is something they can do to treat it so that you can enjoy your holiday when you go to the USA

we're planning a september 2013 trip to cruise dcl + wdw + dlr, so hopefully we'll be able to do some kind of dismeet around that time. we are also planning a POR stay :)

What is HFCS?

I believe it's corn syrup (high fructose corn syrup?). It think that's what they are talking about. Its a sweetener (obviously) widely used, particularly in soft drinks and processed foods :thumbsup2

But I may be wrong, they may be talking about something else :confused3

Hi all - quick update. I haven't purchased fares yet! I don't know why but I'm sitting here and my gut feeling is telling me not to, and my gut is normally correct! So we'll wait a few more days - DH said "If the universe is telling you not to go then don't, leave the money there and we can always book later."

But I promise to keep you up to date! I'll still be here.
