Disney offers direct transportation between ALL 4 of the parks!!! They offer bus or monorail transporation between the parks, no need to transfer at the resorts - though you do have to get to Magic Kingdom via the Transportation and ticket center and can take the monorail or the ferry.

Yes, I know, to some of us this is very common knowledge. But, over the last few months I have seen a number of posts from people, who have been there 3, 4, 5 times or more, posting that there is no bus service between the parks and that you have to go to a resort to transfer. One of the people was a DVC owner that had been to Disney 4 times.:confused3 Just a few weeks ago a DISer whose signature said they had been to Disney at least 7 times, PM'd me and told me I was liar and that I should stop trying to trick people and telling them that there was bus service between the parks and that they were going to report me to the mods (no, I'm not kidding!):scared1: Now, just a few minutes ago I saw the same misinformation posted on one of the other DIS threads. I don't know why this bothers me so much, other than the fact that it is such an important piece of information for new people who are trying to figure out how to tour the parks and if they can really make use of their park hoppers. So, I'm going to post some info previously posted by ROBO on another thread so people will have accurate information:

(Quote)There IS, most certainly, "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme-parks.
Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

>Note: The MK bus connections arrive and depart only at TTC.<

MK/TTC> Epcot = Monorail
MK/TTC> DHS = Bus
MK/TTC> AK= Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> TTC/MK= Bus

DHS> TTC/MK= Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.)

Epcot > TTC/MK= Monorail
Epcot > AK= Direct Bus
Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.)

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.
The bus stops are also marked with signage.(End Quote)

Diser, WEDWDW, has posted this thread about new bus rounts from MK to other parks. Excellent info!

Thanks - this is good information.

And sorry that you were pm'd by someone who was a little more than rude ... but I guess at least they did it via a pm and not via a thread itself. :scared1:

 to you!

Oh, no, she was very nasty to me and a few other people on the thread and then PM'd me! Hey, I hate admitting when I'm wrong as much as the next person, but, when you're wrong, you're wrong - and she did not like that one bit! lol!!!

thank you for the info...as you can see by my signature we have been to WDW several times since 2003 and until Feb of this year I did not know this either:confused3 we were at AK waiting for our bus to the POP when I saw the bus going to DHS..I was in shock:confused:

It is sad ... but some people will never admit they are wrong.

I've probably said a couple things I shouldn't have on the threads  but usually on those threads that get everyone hot ... I'm trying not to do that anymore.

But I have never said anything about things that occur onsite - at least not in a nasty way -- more like "are you sure cause this is what happened to me" sort of way.

The information you gave was good. DH and I were always too tired to take advantage of park hopping. So we decided against getting it in future. But I was wondering about this anyway -- in case we wanted to do resort hopping some day. :thumbsup2

Maybe people are getting mixed up by the fact that there is no direct transportation from DTD to the parks. You have to go to a resort and then to a park. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

Been doing it for years. Pin people who have been around awhile are aware because we use to do speedy park hops to buy a special released series or holiday pins. :lmao:
The only one that was odd that I found out from pin experience was to get to WWoS the only bus to catch was what is now the Studios. Although I don't know if that is still the case.

Yes, DHS is the "transfer point" for WWoS buses.

DHS is much closer to WWoS than TTC.

I hate that anyone sent you nasty PMs. All they have to do is read the signs when they get there!

Hope you didn't mind that I quoted your previous info!?! I just feel like it's really important and can save people so much time in the parks.

terrible heat problem last year ;), I have always found your advice to be sound and accurate :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 . Don't pay any attention to the #$@$@# who PM'd you!!!!

So where do I stand to find these direct park -to- park buses? Some of the resort bus areas are fairly spread out and I want to make sure my family is in the correct place :)

I'm getting ready to go to Disney for the 5th time in my 33 yrs of existence this fall and I know you can take buses from any park to TTC and transfer to another park that way.

The one thing I do remember as a kid was that you didn't have to get off the monorail at TTC and transfer to another monorail to get to Epcot. I could be wrong but I swear we didn't have to do that. Wish they still did it that way.

Don't sweat it. It's not worth it.

Last year at the Boardwalk, a CM told my husband that he had to take a bus to DTD, then transfer to Wild World of Sports. Of course, the CM was wrong, and by the time hubby got back to the Boardwalk, the baseball game was half over. Needless to say, we ask a lot of questions before we get on the bus.

That is why the transportation board is so informational. You get tons of good advice there.
The person that sent you a nasty PM obviously had not read the signs for the buses as they have left the parks.

I guess people cannot read. There are signs infront of the bus stops at the parks. If they just take 2 mins and read it they would know there are park to park busses. You just cant go from DTD to a park. That is rude that someone would pm you a nasty message like that. I hope they realize how dumb they are.

Good tip to keep bumped.

Also wanted to say a hi to the op and happy 4th of july. We moved to florida from wetumpka a year and a half ago. This is our first year not in wetumpka for the 4th since 2002. I really missed it!!!! We were just there for memorial weekend. i love what they added to the park downtown. Great sidewalks and finally a nice play area for the kids. :cool1:

I actually didn't know this until a few days ago. The DIS does need to change their Transportation section then, it says to go from AK to DHS - to take a bus to DTD then DHS.:confused3 Not sure when the direct buses started...we have been driving our rental car to every park so I have paid attention since 2001. :goodvibes

:scared1: You're right. Now, coming from DHS to AK, the directions here DO say to just board the bus to AK. Guess they missed changing that first one. oops. I'm sure they'll see it now and get it taken care of. Thanks for pointing that out!

I shouldn't be surprised but seriously I am. The bus signs all specifically say where to go to get to another park. How do they think people are hopping from park to park?

Maybe this confusion is why people say park hopping is a waste of time? :confused3
