I picked up the current issue of Fitness magazine Sunday while waiting at the airport. There's an article called "Dropping 10 lbs. in a month." While the exercises are typical fitness magazine article exercises (squats, lunges, etc.), I thought the food plan was one of the best I've seen in a fitness/health magazine (nothing fancy or hard to make or requiring a lot of money to be spent).
Basically they show you several breakfast options that are all around 300 calories each (normal stuff like bagels, yogurt/granola) and two "fast food options"(Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks), then several lunch options to choose from at around 400 calories each (sandwiches, wraps, chili, etc.) and two "fast food options" (Quizno's and Panera Bread), and several dinner options with two "fast food" options (P.F. Changs and Domino's). Then they list about ten snacks that you can pick any two per day (popcorn, 3 musketeers mint bars, fruit, veggies, etc.) that are around 150 calories each. For about 1,500 calories per day total.
I thought it was a very helpful clear cut plan. I plan on following the food plan but I already do my own exercise routine every night at the gym.
Anyways, I thought I'd share so if anyone else is looking for something like this.
