What suggestions do you all have for left over groceries that are unopened, and you cant take with you? :cool1:

If you bought your groceries at Winn Dixie or maybe another market chain near WDW then you could try to return the items. Depending on what kind of food you have left over you could set up snacks for your trip home.

It all really depends on what food/groceries you have left over.

We usually pass whatever we have to either the bell staff or the maids.

I have always looked for a family usually around the pool when people do some small talk and offer my goods.
People have always accepted. I take them back to my room and give them..usually..some wine, beer, butter, english muffins, can goods..etc.
All unopened of course! ;)

Wow, I am a little shocked that giving your unused groceries to the staff or other guests worked. I thought to say something about trying that, but I figured that depending on what you have left over or even unopened might not be accepted. I honestly can't say that I would accept butter or bread. An unopened bottle of wine or maybe even an unopened milk would work though. Good for you.

We leave unused non-perishables in the laundry room (no alcohol though). with a note. We then bag up the unused perishables and leave them in the fridge for the staff.

We leave them for the maids.......along with a tip of course.

We left cans of soda and beer in the fridge. We couldn't take it with us, hopefully someone drank it. :)

I'll either try to pass it to a "neighbor" or leave a note for housekeeping to take it for theirselves.

We just did this by leaving a nice note to housekeeping along with the goods.............all unopened of course!

We leave unopen stuff for staff.....once I accidently left some deli stuff in the frig...I was going to make a few sandwiches for pool and forgot and went back up within 10 minutes and everything was gone out of the frig...nothing else was touched in the room and it was not in the garbage....so I guess the staff looks for the leftovers???? :goodvibes

When Bell Services came to get our luggage we asked him if he wanted it and he was more than happy to "take it to the Guys".
