I love that Disney brought back having home town on name tags. Just got back Sunday, and it was nice seeing it. Call me lame.

The last time wwe went I really missed seeing the towns/states/countries on the name tags. I am glad to hear that they are back. I look forward to seeing them in April.

I don't think that's lame at all. Since I can't speak of WDW personally, not having been there in so long, I know I enjoy it on cruises! We've gone on 3 in the last few years. And they do the same thing there. I don't know how much it is at WDW, but on the cruises the staff is extremely international!! And it is a great way to start a conversation, plus there are a lot of interesting people out there.

I don't think that it is lame at all! I'm glad their back to the name tags with home town listed on it. I love to see how many CMs are from places close to us or other places we've been. Makes it easier to start a conversation. :thumbsup2

I like the home towns too! I always loved when I could say I have been to a place or not! I think Bush Gardens had that too and It was really fun to see! Its an extra connection to share at the Happiest Place On Earth!

I will NOT call you lame, you can't make me. :lmao:

I completely agree...I saw a CM that was from a town about 25 minutes away from where I live, and it was neat to have that in common. Also, while shopping in Germany in Epcot, one of the CM was from the same town my mom's side of the family is from. Makes you realize that it IS a small world after all! :lmao:

ITA! It's a nice, simple touch that opens up conversations between CMs and guests.

I am happy they brought it back too! I had a few conversations with CM's on our trip this month about their hometown.

I enjoyed looking for My hometown on the name tags, it was cool to find a kindred spirit from home. The hometown on name tags isnt lame it adds to the uniqueness of Disney

I agree! I love the hometowns. I also loved it when they had their favorite character on their name tags!

Not lame at all! I loved it in December! We found several CMs that were from towns near us so that was a great conversation starter!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always enjoyed seeing places people are from on their name tags. I thought it was especially cool that when we would get the maps I think for Epcot or MGM one of the name tags was Kenner, LA and that is part of my hometown. It just made it even more magical for me. I know its corny but I don't care.
