It is a sign of the times that this reads like a "fake news" story and not an April Fools joke. To me a good gag keeps putting in bits of the implausible so that by the end you are groaning, and know its a gag. Maybe I'm getting more gullible in my old age, but this one struck as plausible right up until the author has to tell you it's a joke.

Now the WestJet gags are generally terrific and hilarious. Have to check and see if they did one this year...

I try not to read the news on April 1st... and so Westjet went ahead and posted that on March 31st. Cheeky so and sos!

Speaking of ski resorts, Royal Caribbean had a fun one about having the first ski slopes on a cruise ship. Completely implausible of course, but dare to dream.

And my favourite this year was Google Maps turning streets into a Ms. Pac-Man game.
