This just doesn't seem right

I just called CRO to book my resort for next April. I asked to book a FW cabin for 15 nights. The CM told me that he couldn't book anything in April right now because the rates weren't out yet.

I told him that I always book that far in advance & the rates usually are not out yet but I have never had a problem.

He then said that he couldn't book it because with "everything that's going on" they just weren't giving out the rates & he couldn't book it.

Did anyone else have this problem? I think I'll call back. I've never run into this.

We were able to book our honeymoon stay in February for June 2004 without a problem. We also booked 2 separate reservations at GF for the first part, then after our Disney cruise, AKL for the last part. We made both of those reservations separately and neither time did we encounter any problems, so I would call back because you should be able tobook for April, it's only 11 months away after all.

That does not seem right at all! Maybe try calling back & talking to another CM Good Luck & let us know!

I booked mine for the end of this month so long ago that the rates weren't out but I was able to book.
I called back in Sept. when the rates were out so that I could get the rate and my Disney Club discount and have my ressies modified. I would call back. Let us know.

They can book you at this years regular rates & adjust it when the new rates come out. It's a very common thing to do.

You can book years ahead. I think I booked in 1994 for New Years 2000. I've often booked over a year ahead. Do call back and let us know.

We always book 12 or 13 months in advance and have never had a problem.

I called back this morning & was able to make my ressie. I had a very helpful CM. She said that the rates for 2004 weren't out yet but when they did come out if there was a change they would notify me. That is always the way it's been done in the past.

I told her about the CM I spoke with the previous day & she didn't know why he wouldn't let me make the ressie. She asked if I was booking a package & I said, "no, room only". She said packages can't be booked until the room rates come out (don't know the reason for that). but he should have been able to book the room.

Anyway, all is well. I have my ressie at FW. I just need to make a ressie for the remainder of our stay at OKW through the DVC & get airfare - then I'll put my new counter up! HURRAY!
