This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

I like the option where you have a bit of time between Disney. Sure, you are spending a bit more to change everything, but having a bit of a hiatus would be nice.

That being said, you have ADRs for Nov! Why go to WDW when you don't have a Le Cellier reservation? Is LC worth a few extra days of Food/Wine to him? Or does he really not care about that either?

Additionally, the trip with your sister won't be the same as your trip with Brandon, so doing two trips so close together may not be an issue.

I definitely don't think going in the middle of the week is weird. And if it cuts down a little on costs, that's a plus. The end of October was nice with the F&WF, the entertainment at DTD, and the crowds really weren't too bad.

Ohhh, Disneyland. You really should go there sometime. I am seriously dying to go back, especially now that the California Adventure expansion is complete. Just out of curiosity, which hotels were you looking at? The two times we went we stayed at one of the "Good Neighbor" hotels. The Disney hotels are probably more fun but the nice thing about DLR is that it's not as huge a deal if you are "off property" since off property is literally across the street! :)

Hmmm... this does seem like a tough decision. I'm not even sure which option to go with though I think it depends on which time of year you prefer at this point since the first choice and Secret Choice Number 3 seem like the best. Again, I would stick with your original plans because I think you would get more out of Christmastime without a need for special tickets and planned events. One day wouldn't make any difference especially in a weeks time span so just personal preference between Christmas and Halloween season along with how much you are willing to spend on a plane, another reason I think you should stick with your original plans. Again, your choice, but I hope this helps a little :)

Omg, I read your title and immediately knew what it was. FRIENDS FANS YALL. I always have a secret option number three, even if it's not secret, or number three. HAHAHA. Love it. ANYWAYS...

Okay, of course this is ultimately your decision because hi, it's your trip. BUT... I feel like you should go the earlier dates in October.

Reason number 1: Further away from Halloween therefore less chance of a HUGE crowd at MNSSHP.

Reason number 2: Better flight rates.

Not-so-secret reason number 3: My birthday is October 21 so... SOMEONE should be in Disney on my birthday! :rotfl:

 Secret Option Number 3!!! It always complicates things, doesn't it!!

My vote is either for the earlier dates in October or keeping what you have in November. Both options sound great though...especially since they both result in you being in Disney!! :thumbsup2

Being a Libra, I can't make a decision to save my life...so I don't think I can help you - lol :(
but...I do have an idea...can you sister and neice change their dates?
Maybe they can arrive on your last day at Disney with Brandon...then he could fly home alone (although, he probably wont want to) and you can stay with your sister and neice for a few mroe days, and then fly home with them??

My first thought (and the most selfish as it's the one I would want for me!) is keep the trip in November. Besides the cheap flights, ADRs and Food & Wine (I'd say 4 days is enough to enjoy the festival) it's the Christmas decorations, which I adore! So even though you get to see them in December, it's only for a short trip -- I wouldn't say that's enough Christmas. For me. :rotfl:
I'd say no to September. It seems to have the least benefits for you right now. Also it seems like your least favourite option so you probably won't be perfectly happy with it.
As for the October trip, I have to admit it's probably the best choice in most ways. It is later than September, better weather most likely. It puts some space between trips for saving up/un-Disneyfying. All Food & Wine time. Now for me personally I don't care about the Hallowe'en decorations, I've seen them too much but if you'd love to see them then I count that as a plus.
Is it too close to Hallowe'en though? Would it be busier than November? I'm not sure, never been in October.
As for flights, if you can go Weds - Weds, I say go for that! We did it once. It was actually really nice. No line for check in! :lmao: It's not weird if it works for you.

As far as which option to choose, that I can't help you with. But I can tell you that mid week to mid week trips are great! We are doing a Wed-Tues this time (short one) and flights were so cheap. We fly Southwest and all their sales are for Tues/Wed flights. Just a little tip if you do....you might want to plan on taking the next day off if you work. On a "normal" Sat-Sat trip you have Sunday to cool down, do laundry, get back into the swing of things....with mid week if you don't take that extra day, you will be stressing. Mid week trips work well with my work since I am in charge of payroll, I am there Mon, Tues of one week and then Thurs, Fri of the other week. Plus, sometimes I don't even take a whole weeks vacation time....like this July trip I am taking just 2 days paid and it will be fine. A smaller paycheck for two weeks is easy to deal with when it leaves me with 3 extra vacation days ;)

Anyway....you will have a great time no matter when you go. I guess it basically comes down to what you want to see most....F&W, Halloween or Christmas decor. HAVE FUN!

Wow! You have lots of decisions to make! Personally, I would stick with November. I'm such a penny-pincher though! I wouldn't want to pay more for the airfare. That being said, I think your October plans would also be nice and rank in 2nd place for me. September is still hot, ick, and I don't know if you'd enjoy it as much. Those are just my thoughts :goodvibes

If you aren't going to go early enough in October to use the AP's you have than I would probably stick with your November dates. Is the Early October airfare really more than new park tickets? Or its the weather that bothers you that week? I thought it was your December trip that got rained out? Or was it the October one as well?

Hmm...I kind of like Secret Option #3, but I'm still not sure...

Would you be able to use your APs?

I guess the question really is, is it worth the extra airfare? Does that cost outweigh the other options? If you did go in October, however, I would go the 18th-25th. I feel like it will be crazy crowded on Halloween, even if you don't do MNSSHP.

When is the last day you can use your APs? (Sorry if I missed that info somewhere.) I think Oct 18-25 sounds good, especially if you can get mid-week flights at a good price. Going mid-week totally isn't weird to me, and it may be easier travel due to lower crowds at the airport and such.

Decision time (and some boring life stuff!)

Hi everyone!!

Again, I want to thank you all for taking the time to give me advice about my future trips! :goodvibes I realized that I was being a bit ridiculous about this whole situation, I mean, going to Disney shouldn't be stressful and it was actually starting to stress me out!

So our decision is...we're sticking with the November trip! And then 3 weeks later I'll be going back with my sister and niece! They might be close but they are going to be 2 totally different trips, so I'm equally excited about both!

Now the boring life stuff. Well, first, my wonderful cat Belle decided that she wanted to use the power cord to our iMac as a chew toy and chewed right through it. :sad2: So I'm attempting to do this update on my phone, because I am going to be computerless until at least Monday! :( I wanted to do a trip update but there's no way I can do it on my phone so I guess my DIS time will be limited until our new cord gets here! (They dont carry them in the Apple stores, can you believe that? Ughhh!!!)

Second, Brandon had surgery today. Long story short, he tore the labrum in his shoulder attempting to rollerblade a few weeks ago. So he has to have his arm in a sling for a few weeks, he can't drive, can't work, basically has to just sit around and take lots of pain killers until he can go back to work! I'm glad it's over because I've been having a lot of anxiety about it (I'm terrified anytime anyone has surgery, I'm so afraid of anesthesia!) but it's probably going to be a long recovery process. I'm guessing after this summer, I'm going to need two Disney trips!!

So that is what's going on! I'll try to keep up with everyone's TR's on my phone and between playing nurse! Hopefully my computer will be ok by Monday!

Hope Brandon feels better soon!

I also have a cord-chewing cat, so I feel your pain. Jake likes my laptop cord, and phone charger. It's annoying!!

I think it's awesome that you have two trips close together- really takes the sting out of coming home from the first one!

I hope Brandon recovers quickly! That sucks to be laid up like that. Just don't kill him. :rotfl:

Apple didn't have a cord for you?! They had one for me when I went it and gave it to me for free because it had kind of broken. That's so bizarre. :confused3

Don't stress! Disney is about fun, not stress. Just go with the floooooooooooooowww ooooooooowwww ooooooooowwww!

Oh my gosh, my cat is always trying to chew on some kind of power chord. I'm always terrified he'll get electrocuted or something! Ahhhh.

Oh no! I hope Brandon's recovery goes well. And fast!

I feel like that's a dream come true... you come home from Disney and just when you're REALLY starting to miss it you can just go right back! :woohoo:

Silly kitty. Doesn't she know you have DIS to keep up with! haha!

I hope Brandon has a good recovery and that the time passes quickly!!

I think you will be happy with November! Can't beat 2 trips within a month of each other!!! :thumbsup2

I hope Brandon is feeling better soon!!! I'm glad his surgery went well!

I think sticking with the November trip will be perfect! Definitely no reason to stress yourself out over going to Disney! :thumbsup2

Oh no, I hope your power cord is easily replaced! Silly Belle!

Too bad about the cord. I have an extra that I don't even use. What the heck with the cat chewing through it? Odd! Sounds like a dog thing.

Sorry to hear about Brandon's surgery. I'm sure he is going to have more than a few uncomfortable moments during his recovery. Shoulder surgery hurts.

Glad you made a decision on your trips. I am absolutely certain you will enjoy both trips! :goodvibes

You inability to update at least gives me a chance to get update on this TR. :goodvibes
