This is why you shouldn't try and get around height restrictions on rides

What?!?! How do you tape a snickers bar to a shoe to gain height? Am I missing something, I just envision a flattened snickers bar under her shoes in my head. Just glad she was ok, how scary.

That is crazy! Reminds me of that Simpsons cartoon where Bart gets past the height requirement by standing on large lollipops and the bar goes over his head on the coaster.

He clearly was making it all up.
Candy bars would not have worked.
They would have been squished by his child walking on them plus they would have gotten all melted.
Besides nearly everyone's butt lifts off the seat so it was just likely that she didn't realize it would happen and got scared.
Not saying you should try to get around height requirements but just that this story he gave is complete BS.

But what happened exactly? I mean I am not seeing the story in the story. It just says how he ended the story and "much to the shock of Robert Downey".

I'm skeptical on this one. Snickers bars don't seem like the best tool for the job here (they'd melt and/ or flatten) and I'm not quite sure how one attaches Snickers bars to a shoe at an amusement park in the first place (note it does not say they were inserted into the shoe, which I'm pretty sure also would not work for the same reasons). I meet the height requirement and I lift off of the seat and I'm guessing they simply weren't expecting that. Any CM who's measured my kids has taken at least a passing glance at their shoes as well (mainly to make sure they aren't standing on their toes to gain height) and I'm hoping some Snickers Bars "attached" would have stood out.

Is it possible he's trying (poorly) to make some joke here?

I don't buy it. If a Snicker's bar's worth of height difference was enough to endanger a child's life, the height requirement would be much higher.

So I went back to the link and the story showed up that time, not just the ending. Weird. Anyway, I am with y’all. No way this happened.
