So here’s my long story in a nutshell….I decided to sign up for the Wine and Dine half in February. I asked my DB if he wanted to do it with me and he said no, fast forward 3 months later after I got my hotel and airfare. He suddenly decided he wanted to run it also, cool with me! As this will be his first trip to Disney and I can’t wait to show him around. :cool1: So now I am stuck with unused airfare because he doesn’t like to fly, but no problem I can make an extra trip in a few months no biggie! Well we have 13 days left and last night out of the blue we decided to buy him a ticket to fly also to save us the 25 extra hours of not being in a car. Here is the not so fun part. We will be arriving Friday and our hotel is not until sat. I was hoping I could just ad a day onto the reservation but when I called today they are sold out :scared1: NO!!!! So now I have to find a hotel somewhere off property that has good transportation for us for that one day as we will be staying at ASMu on sat and then get transportation from the airport. What a mess! Anyone have any ideas to make this mess easier? :confused3This will be my first trip without a car so it’s going to be a lot different than before.

There isn't room at any of the other All Star resorts? I'd check out ASMovies (my fave) or AS Sports before resigning to an off property resort. Although we didn't like AS Sports, I could crash there for just 1 night. They're all within walking distance to each other & transporting luggage would be easy. Best wishes & good luck!

Yeah The person I talked to said there was no value resort rooms and only a moderate.... I am going to keep checking and hope one opens up before then. I told them I didnt care which hotel is was only wanted value.

I just checked the wdw site, and there's at least 1 preferred room available at ASMusic for the 1 night (9/30-10/1) at rack rate.

:cool1: I got it, thank you, I didnt even think about rechecking after I talked to the CSR. I just heard they were all booked then thinking... Well crap, now what?

YAY! That's going to make things so much easier for you! I love taking Disney's free Magical Express to & from the airport. It's so nice to sit back & let them do the driving. Have a great trip!

While it's a little late... next time this happens consider just staying at the airport. Depending on when you get in it's actually less stressful and generally cheaper then a value. For the Thursday night before you arrive I got the Hyatt in the airport for $69 (total) on Hotwire. Then Friday I could just take DME (but I am renting a car :) )

Glad it worked out for you. Enjoy the run, the wine and the dine! :thumbsup2

Thank you to everyone who helped. I got the room booked, and glad I did it feels good knowing I can just sit back and enjoy the ride now. instead of trying to arrange a ride, from the airport and to the parks. We will be ariving at 11 friday morning so I would like to spend that afternoon in the parks and its the same hotel we will be in for the next 6 days so it wont be to hard to move our stuff!! :goodvibes

Good thing, do you know what the airlines are getting now for a cancelation/rebooking fee? $150!!! :scared1: That's almost the full price of a ticket so you might as well call it a non-refundable ticket.

For all airlines? wow thats more than I paid for the room. No kidding. I will sleep at the airport for that price.
