It means something odd that gets you..."excited"..or uhm...I dunno, nevermind.

Although it can mean that, and usually does, it doesn't always.
If you use it as a noun and say something like "a fetish of making lists" it doesn't mean you're turned on by lists, it just means you really really like making lists.
