Weather all over USA has been really crazy this year

Mother Nature is out of control

Global warming. The other day there was tornadoes on both ends of the country.

Makes me *really* nervous for hurricane season ~ which began yesterday!

We're going to be more prepared this time. We always stock up on water, batteries... all the things they tell you to stockpile. But we've never had a plan ~ like what will we do, where will we go, what if I have to leave with the kids before Tom is told to evacuate from work? I didn't even know until this week that he had to stay until his work says go or that he is in the 2nd group of people they call back.

Lots to think about and best not to leave it until we have a storm headed toward us.

I didn't even know until this week that he had to stay until his work says go or that he is in the 2nd group of people they call back.

Lots to think about and best not to leave it until we have a storm headed toward us.

We came up with a plan if there was an emergency and we had to evacuate years ago. And we are all set to meet where the kids went to elementary school. We figured that it was a good central location.

At least with a hurricane you have a few days to get yourself prepared... not like it pops up outta nowhere. We just have to keep an eye on the NHC website. I'm thinking I should get a hurricane tracker app too. There are quite a few of them.

Me too! And much more so now that we live right on the Gulf. We're sandwiched between the gulf and a huge bay, actually. We have no way outta here that isn't over a bridge either. I can't see us riding out a storm. We'd be like sitting ducks!

Nope, I am quite certain if it looks even remotely possible we are going to take a direct hit it will be hurricane shutters up and see ya!

Boy I am so with you on that one. I would be so out of there. I cannot understand the people that are able to sit these storms out. You know? I think it takes a special kind of person to do theat sort of thing.

Other than having a son with pneumonia and having a cold myself I guess I am okay.


Of course I am watching AGT, I love this part of it. There were a couple of interesting acts the other night. My show though this year is The Voice.

Oh, sorry to hear that. Pneumonia in June?? I think of that more as a winter thing.

I really wanted to watch the Voice. It looks good. But then I looked at the list of shows I'm already addicted to...and said, I better not.

I was reading a cute, little thread that lists the questions and answers for the D23 Scavenger Hunt in WDW (took place 2 days before my trip in May). Looks like something fun to do sometime. It's in the Theme Park thread, if you are interested.

We are still having winter here. Our high has been in the low 60's for the last several weeks. And we have had rain for about a week. There was a tornado in Sacramento county day before yesterday. And tomorrow they are forecasting 2 feet of snow in the sierra mountains. We are having the strangest June.

I will check that out. The Voice is set up so different it makes it a lot of fun.

WHAT???? Poor Lauren!!! I'll add him to my prayer list and you too of course!!!

I cant wait until Monday!! Braeton is going to be sooooo excited. If I don't keep it myself!! LOL I did get Shannons good camera and my video camera while I was at home plus I have my camera so surely between all the pics one of us will get that really good shot. I'm hoping to have a good video clip for ya'll! I am going to wrap it up and if I can find some I'd like to have aatiny shark & a bike in the decor. Since he associates Kelley as Ms. Sharkey and Mrs. Chele as Mr. Scottys wife his personal bike man!!! I am going to tell him the whole thing including Nicoles most awesome part of getting it and shipping it ON HER VACATION!! I just don't have anything to associate her with to him YET! but don't worry I'll find something!!!
I have to say I now understand the Duffy Fascination and WHEN we get to go back to any Disney Park he'll be with us and I won't mind carrying him around when Braeton doesn't want to hold him. I already foresee a wardrobe in the future. In fact the other thing Braeton wants is Build a Bear gift cards of course and hegot a coupo for his Birthday of $5 of any purchase so we can make it all count. If he gets an animal I have a $5 off of $10 and a $10 off of $25 so seperate purchases here we come!!

Leah, you are such a doll. Isn't he just the most huggable bear? He is stuffed just right. To many stuffed animals are over stuffed but not our guy.

Hi all from gloomy winter in California. Unreal, I doubt we will even reach 60 degrees today. Tomorrow we have thunderstorms and hail predicted and Scotty is racing. After the race there is a team picnic type thing and the person hosting is planning for us all to be under those canopy things. No, I don't think so.

Okay, Chele and Kelly, even though I really should be packing for my trip to my mom's, I am watching the Voice marathon on E! channel.

Totally addicted! LOVE this show!!!

Gotta set my DVR for this and the disney yard special!
