Just caught sight of our APs in the drawer. Expired 6 days ago.


For the first October half term since 2006 I am NOT at Disneyland Paris.

I should be there now, singing Boo to You and It's HalloweenLoween Everybody and eating at Walts and watching the parade and getting jostled down Main Street.


I am in a major sulk. I know I'm the adult and I made the choice not to go. I know I could book a trip anytime and it is only ME that decided not to. I know I should just shut the heck up. Even so there is a little bit of me that is very sad to be doing the sensible and grown up thing. I'm sure I'll be very happy eventually with the new bedroom that we're having instead of a trip but

I know how you feel except for that we haven't had a new bedroom

We have been every October since 2007 and it seems strange not going this half term - it just wasn't possible with staffing in our department at work

Even had to have a conversation with someone last friday about their holiday this week at DLRP

Still have our trip over Christmas (22/12 to 26/12) to look forward to but I do find Halloween special.

On monday I even looked at doing a trip leaving the early hours of saturday morning just for one night !!

Console yourself with the thought that many DISers who've been for previous Halloweens have been a tad disappointed with the decorations this year.

Ha! Don't tempt me. The carpet was laid yesterday and the furniture arrives tomorrow. It's all too late. I shall lie in my new bed and dream ......
