This is stressing me out: should it?

I have same issue. This coming Monday I’ll be on the plane at 7 am with a 7:30 landing. We are flying el cheapo Spirit and don’t think there is wifi.

I’m anxious about this as well. Not sure whether I should pay for ILL$ or gamble on 1 pm and hope it doesn’t go down.

I may just do both and maybe ride twice.

I just looked, and Remy 1pm VQ is gone. This is for 1:40pm ET. I don't know what time it went though.

We'll be doing the same thing on 12/7 - our SW flight takes off at 7am and planning on Epcot that day. I figure if we can't do virtual queue early then we'll do 1pm. If that doesn't work we'll just just in line right when the park closes

There’s currently no standby on Remy’s Ratatoullie so you can’t get in line as the park closes. It’s either virtual queue or an Individual Lightning Lane Selection ($).

How much are they charging to ride Remy? And this is just for one ride?

I think it started out as $9, but there have been some fluctuations, with slightly higher prices for busier days. So you're probably looking at $9-$11, depending when you wish to ride. And yes, once and done, and per person in your group...... Since Remy's is the only attraction at WDW, I believe, that has no standby option, you'll need to grab a Boarding Group/Virtual Queue slot, or pay for the Individual Lightning Lane to ride.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for Remy because it doesn't have standby. Lightning lane or virtual que only

Actually, you don’t even have to wait until you get off the plane. Once you land, you can switch to data. It usually takes a while to get to the gate and unload people.

My husband has used the wifi on SW a little. There might be issues when the plane is turning to land/descent. Also, we think that not every SW plane has wifi.

The day I arrive I land at 11am.

my plan is to go to Epcot this day. This is the Saturday after thanksgiving.

at 7am when individual lightning lane purchases open and genie +... I'll be on a plane. Southwest.

I am hoping for good WiFi on the plane. I really want a Remy lightning lane..

I'm worried if I get crappy WiFi they will be gone! I land for layover in Chicago at 735 so if I do have crappy WiFi I'll still be able to get on about an hour after they open..
Ok this is us too!!! Travel twins. Flying out the 27th. But we arrive at 930! May the odds be ever in your favor ...and ours too!
Am I over thinking this?!?
I actually debated moving my flight to late the night before but there isn't availability at the resort to add a night.. and then I got to thinking that's just dumb..

We jumped through a bunch of hoops to do remy on our last trip and when I was on the ride, I couldn’t enjoy it because the ride experience didn’t blow me away enough to justify how much of a hassle getting on the ride was. Trust me, don’t overthink it and just try for the lightning lane when your plane lands with 1pm as a backup. You don’t want your ride to be soured by a super stressful midflight battle with crummy wifi.

If Remy is your focus why not change the Park Reservation day to one where you are able to have decent WiFi?

No. You shouldn't stress about being able to ride Remy. You might want to stress about being able to ride the plane. Many cancelled flights lately. :)

I'm stressing about that too lol... I am too far away to drive if crap hits the fan.

Arriving at 11AM really ruins the day. We always do a late night with 1 night stay at an offsite resort. Early check in the next day, hold your bags since your room isn't likely to be ready, and off to the parks for a full day. :)

Gah.. I had just talked myself out of this! Mostly because I'm having trouble finding a hotel.. the Hyatt at the airport is ridiculous expensive for the night I would need if..

Okay.. so I am going to stop stressing and it will be what it's going to be. Below are my plans and back up plans and yes I feel ridiculous typing this out

plan A of best case scenario: the WiFi works, I book Remy LL and can watch to start booking genie plus. I make it to Epcot early afternoon..

Plan B: WiFi sucks so I hope LL last to my layover.. get them on the layover.

plan C: none left at layover. Pray for easy off boarding- I'm not checking any luggage, get to Epcot by 1pm for virtual drop.

plan D: no remy .... consider buying park hopper to go on AK day when they close early..

Goodness.. the lengths I go... I just know I'm not gonna be back for a long while. Our next trips are all Disneyland. So I do want to ride Remy.

My husband and son's Friday night flight Columbus Day weekend to Orlando got cancelled. It was SW. We were doing Halloween Horror Nights and had a VIP tour scheduled on Saturday night. They managed to find a flight to Tampa and then rented a car and drove. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to get a flight until Sunday, and we were flying back Monday. So, if your flight gets canceled and you are willing to drive, try looking at Tampa.

I hope your flight does make it. I am mine and my families make it too. We had a canceled return flight for our July trip, so we drove the rental car home to Texas. It was expensive and a long drive, but my husband needed to get back. Ugh!

the flight issues are deff on my mind.. I do have the back up of driving fromOmaha to Kansas City to catch a flight if I absolutly have to.. but then it's changing my return to KC and having to drive home after.

I wish omaha offered a nonstop to Orlando the day I'm flying... just crossing all the things for a smooth travel day.
