This is so wrong!!!!!!

I just think its funny that Hammas would use an American icon to reach their children - isn't that infidel, American, commercialism they are supposed to be against????

Score another one for the Mouse!!

I wanted to bump this up because, sadly, this is the first time I've seen it. I don't know, perhaps my dh was sheilding me from the nightmares. Embarrassingly, I haven't been reading the news much...it's depressing.

With all this new terrorist stuff, I can't help but wonder. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it just seems strange that they kill this lookalike off and 2 weeks later we're getting warnings from the government. In addition to that, the latest "tape" states they are going to attack "the happy man" or something to that effect.

I'm hoping someone will put me in my place and tell me I'm being completely paranoid. Seriously, I won't be upset. I'm paranoid right?

It has been probably been a month and a half since it's been taken off the air. Let's face it they want to attack us again. Even though we have found out about their plans thus far, there is a good chance it will happen again.

I do come here for mostly cheerful info, but I do watch the news everyday and I am a realist. I feel that knowledge is power, which is why I try to keep up with what is happening in the world. There is being paranoid and being aware. The choice is ours.

<<Hamas militants have enlisted the iconic Mickey Mouse to broadcast their message of Islamic dominion and armed resistance to their most impressionable audience - little kids.A giant black-and-white rodent - named "Farfour," or "butterfly," but unmistakably a Mickey ripoff - does his high-pitched preaching against the U.S. and Israel on a children's show run each Friday on Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas. The militant group, sworn to Israel's destruction, shares power in the Palestinian government. >>
There is more, but this is the jist of it.

:sad2:

There are actually quite a few legal and economic reasons that Disney did not take any legal action toward either of these groups that were so obviously infringing on the copyright and trademark of these Disney characters.
One is China owns the US. China keeps our currency and economy afloat, because it keeps buying stocks in our companies, keeps selling us cheap goods. Plus the Chinese also are giant supporters of the Disney products. Why would they want to upset a culture and government that does so much for them?

Second, Hamas is not a concrete entity. Disney could great problems against the TV station and the government, but how are you going to determine who you are going to sue out of the group of Hamas? Determining intellectual property is a very tricky thing to do.

Enough of the lesson in politics...we always want the Mouse to come out on top!

This is disgusting and I don't know why anybody would want to do this; I really don't. You can not expose Mickey to something like that because it's not good.

The Hamas can and will do whatever they want and don't care about how we feel since they hate us Americans.
