When we were getting ready to drive across the border from our trip to Disney last year we saw a man begging at the side of the road. He was quite a bit older - maybe 70's and DH quickly had me grab all of remaining US coins and a dollar or two - we had been in the process of spending all of the remaining cash before we crossed the border. He handed it to him as we went by

We drove a little further along and saw the sign for the toll -we totally forgot there would be a toll ahead.

Fortunately they accepted Canadian cash as well and I had a couple of loonies kicking around - but I had to throw everything around to find it.

I've watched beggars finish up at the end of the day, walk around the corner and get in their spotless Lexus to drive home.

Begging must be very lucrative.

Oh please. First, ANYTHING is possible, in EVERY situation posted on the DIS. Second...while I'm sure it's POSSIBLE she "found" the Blackberry, I highly doubt it. And if she did, she should turn it in. Yeah, I know...but MAYBE she was going to turn it in after she made that call.

This isn't a legal trial where, with little information, we are literally convicting this person and sending her to jail. It's a discussion board. Someone saw something, posted his observation, and people are commenting, as in "discussing" what was observed. There are no two ways around it tho...a woman begging, while on a Blackberry, DOES NOT LOOK GOOD.

Or maybe she was texting the people in the contact list saying "Hey, found this blackberry, how can I return it to you?"

If I found myself homeless, my cell phone would be one of the last things I'd probably give up. Why? Because job hunting without a reliable phone number would be pretty much impossible, so how would I lift myself out of the situation I was in?

If she has a "pay as you go" cell phone, which she might have bought before she lost her job and home, or might have been handed down to her by someone else, then the fee for a blackberry isn't any different from any other phone.
