This Is Pretty Ridiculous

why dont the teens on the teen DISNEY boards talk about anything DISNEY related? who agrees with me? this is the reason that i write on the adult ones because they actually use this board for what they are meant for. What do things like "i hate my mouth" or "racking up your posts" have anything to do with Disney? and why would anyone want to rack up there posts? that is the most ridiculous idea any kid has ever thought of.

Most of us when we plan a trip we talk about it and then what?

I mean there isn't THAT much to talk about disney related, some of us have never even been.

Its all pretty much discussed, its just in between the lines.

The reason there are those threads, is because well, you can't keep people on topic, and this is just one of those forums where we talk about our lives and such. I guess, about being teens. You'd see something similar on the Canadian Boards, they talk about Disney, but they talk about their lives too and what's going on in their country. This goes for a lot of the other boards.

Where in the description does it say we HAVE to talk about Disney?
Until you can show me where it MANDATES we talk ONLY Disney,I will continue to start and post on threads that have nothing to do with Disney.
And non-Disney topics aren't being deleted by Webmasters and moderators so what's the big deal if we don't talk Disney 24/7?

It is discussed.
There are threads that say 'Hey I'm planning my trip' or 'Yay,we're going in June' or 'What's your favorite Disney ride'.
They're there,you just have to scroll down the page.

I think that if we get off topic it doesn't matter, there's always a friendly disney undertone. The entire disney way is a magical comforting experience, and if this board does nothing else but give teens a community of kids their own age to talk to about their feelings and experiences then that's okay. Even if we don't talk about disney, the intentions are good and we are following the disney code of conduct, if you will.

Where does it say we have to talk about just Disney? We can talk about anything and everything. Besides, it would get boring to just yak on about Disney all day. If you think it's so crazy, then maybe this isn't the board for you.Some people have a different image in their mind when they think of a disney forum. If you wan't I know another forum that is strictly Disney, but I dont like it.

We do talk about Disney, it's just not all threads are related to Disney. This is a forum to talk about anything (within reason) with other teens. If you don't like it, go back to the other boards you said you where posting on. This is how it is here we talk about everything and DISNEY as well.

I don't agree with you. People on the Community Boards don't talk about Disney. This is like the Community Boards for Teens.
It's to communicate with other teens who love Disney. Not to talk about Disney.
There are plenty of other threads (in fact...nearly every other forum on DIS) to talk about Disney.

You're new, so you don't know how this board works. There are multiple forums and sub-forums where people talk nothing about Disney.

The DIS is a community, where yes, you can talk about your trips to Disney. And yes, it's a place where you connect with old friends and make some new.

Honestly though, if you don't like our Teen Board, then stick to the trip planning forums.

This is definatley a place where we talk about a lot of other things besides disney BUT there still are disney threads, just not as many. And you don't have to post on the non dis related threads anyway.

Most of them are about feelings and stuff. Your calling it crap.
There is NO RULE about having to talk about Disney.

This is a free board. There are rules, but no stupid rule saying we HAVE to talk about DISNEY.

First off, chillax.
it's not the end of the world here.

Second off, we're teens. Duh, we're going to talk about stuff not related to Disney. We need to talk about this stuff. Drinking, smoking, murders, rape, we need to discuss this stuff sometimes. I mean, for example, what if someone's friend has considered suicide, or has been secretly snuffing crack. Do you think that we're going to make a thread being like "Oh I'm going to Disney, and by the way I don't know what to do because my friend has been illegally taking drugs"? No, we need to talk to other teens.

Because most of it can't talk to an adult about this kinda stuff.

Because we don't go to Disney all the time..we can't discuss trips all day. That's no fun. The boards would just die.

We all like to get to know each other better. Other forums may have names like "Forums for Book Readers". Sure, they'll have plenty of threads about books, but they also discuss other things.

It's no big deal. We aren't breaking any rules if we don't talk about disney.

Well some people talk about the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, and Disney Channel shows which is 100% Disney Related. Maybe someone can post their trip report with their family on the Teen Disney section or make a Pre-Trip report. Just using my mind here.

If we want to talk about Disney, we can venture into one of the Disney related boards. But I consider the DIS a place to relax with friends. It would be like going to Starbucks and the people there telling you that you have to talk about coffee...
