This is pretty funny

I'm signed in and still see those ads. There usually at the very bottom of the page right above the quick reply box.

I've got Dream Plan escape....Microsoft Streets and Tips......Hmmmmm wonder where that came from..Anyone planning a vacation soon?

Those Dis ads only appear if you are not logged in...they show up as a thread post smack dab in the middle of a thread.

Those scary teeth ads that have thankfully gone:scared1:are the ads that show up logged in or not at the top or bottom of the page....like that freaky bloody mary one from halloween:scared1::scared1:

For all of the bashing these boards have done, and podcast team has said, to see ads for this on these boards makes me chuckle:goodvibes[/QUOTE

I agree on the thought that posts like this stir the pot...Have I mysteriously been transported to the community board? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I'm signed in and still see the ads...but I think the ads have something to do with a topic on the page. Maybe. Heck I don't know.

I had ice cream earlier! :thumbsup2

The ads the OP posted only show up when your not logged in. Ads at the bottom of the screen show up for everyone. I seldom even notice them.

Oh ok...I see now that it wasn't the ad at the bottom...

Those ads are usually based on page content not browser history. A page that contains a lot of Disney stuff will have Disney stuff related ads. I believe those are also only displayed with you are not signed in. Many forums have different ad profiles for members and non members.

I believe with this thread the horse is not only dead but beginning to decay and replenish the earth with its nutrients.

What, you don't like the picture over Siena? That's the only thing I can see that you wouldn't like. :)

:lmao:

Great picture that tho, had been wondering where it was!
Do you get over to England much to watch Manchester United?

No I haven't. That picture was actually taken last year on the day of the CL final in Moscow. I got to watch the game from a restaurant on the Campo. The first week I was in Italy was the last week of the Serie A season so all the games were on Sunday. We were in Florence and Fiorentina was at home but we had to meet the group we were biking with. Had they played on Saturday I would have gone just to see a real game live. So far that is the only trip I've made to Europe.

I've been to MLS games but they just aren't the same, no matter what Beckham says.

Having not been to an MLS game i can't really say, but I know there's nothing like a big game at Anfield or Old Trafford.

You really should get over one day, Old Trafford (as much as it pains me to say) is a hell of a stadium! Been there a few times and it's just so impressive :)

I would love to get to a game. A lot of the EPL teams come over for pre-season friendlies but it just isn't the same when the game doesn't matter. A couple of years ago they played the Community Shield game over here. Now that is something I would go to even if Man U wasn't playing just to see something competative.

Yeah Liverpool and Man Utd have played in the US a good few times in recent pre-seasons, but like you say, it loses a little something without that competitive edge!
There was talk of something called "the 39th game", which would be an extra EPL game but played in different places around the world, tho it was widely condemned (rightly so in my opinion) by most teams' fans - but i don't think plans of it have been entirely scrapped - so maybe :thumbsup2

As much as I would love a "39-th" game over here I think it is a terrible idea.

If they really want a game outside of England I think they should move the FA Cup semi-finals. The travel would be a pain but they are supposed to be held at a neutral ground so playing the game here, in Africa, or in Asia would accomplish that. Of course the final should stay at Wembly.

Kinda agree. in the fact that they could be the only possible games that could be played like that (neutral venue and all that), but then i feel that even Wembley is too far to travel for the semi finals (when this year you have Everton playing Manchester Utd there, which should surely be played at a neutral venue in the north of the country).

Best of luck in that semi final too, couldn't bear the Everton fans gloating if they won that one

We should be fine as long as we can steal some 17 year olds from Lazio:rotfl:

Wouldn't Cardiff be closer than London to you guys? They could have played that at the Millennium stadium. It isn't like Wales is going to fill that thing up any time soon. Unless they play Brazil or something but I don't think they are in the same qualifying group.

This was quite the thread hijack but anything beats debating D23 for 30 pages again.

Cardiff is probably about the same distance as Wembley to be honest, but having been to a few cup finals at Cardiff I can safely say I'd rather all finals were played there - a much, much nicer area than Wembley and a great stadium.

Sadly, the HUUUGE cost of Wembley means that the English FA have decided to play all semi's there now as a way of recooping some of the cost.
IMO, semi finals should be at a neutral club ground like they used to be (example, in 2006 i went to the semi final at Old Trafford when Liverpool played Chelsea).

And agree, a thread hijack is good in any way to get away from the D23 borefest-round-in-circles debate :rolleyes1
