We are going to Disney 3/31-4/7 and got free dining when it was offered last year. We upgraded to DxDP.

Our final payment is due on the 15th, and I am not going to have the money until the end of the month. It is possible for me to drop our DxDP upgrade, pay off the trip, and then add the upgrade back on at the beginning of March and pay for it then; correct?

You should be able to downgrade a no extra cost as long as you're outside the 45-day window. You should then be able to upgrade for no extra cost as long as you're more than 2 weeks out, at which point you'll have to pay the difference.

So it sounds like what you suggest should work without you incurring any extra fees.

Thanks. I thought so, but this is all very stressful, and DH isn't willing to give up his DxDP!

Disney did me one better when I called - she dropped our tickets down to 2 day base tix, and I can either call and upgrade them in a few weeks, or even wait and upgrade them at the park when we get there. Trip saved!
