This is not a joke

Thanks for posting!! I am so glad that Bush is our leader... I definitely would not want his job...

Thanx for that. Things like this are so needed right now for those of us who are confused at all the different points of view.
I'll send it along to all i know =)
God Bless America.

What I loved about Bush, as well as his father is their humanity. You sensed with both presidents that time, thought, and prayer went into any decision involving our young men and women in the armed forces. That they would take it as a personal loss if any of them did not make it. Democrat or republican, I will trust any president who gives me this feeling. GW with all of his knowledge about the middle east situation (which I suspect might convey more danger then we know) is still giving them a chance to avoid war. God Bless him.

This is a feeling I had with Jimmy Carter (a democrat) as well.

If I pick up on this, imagine the peace it gives to the military, hence the respect of not only those in the service but their families as well.

That was a wonderful tribute and in sight on President Bush.My family always noticed Clinton's disregard of the military. He at first didn't even salute when he went past military personel. Then he must have had a poll taken to see if he should salute or not ;) His salute was a limp salute at the best. Some people would say what difference does a salute make...EVERYTHING.
My 9 year old was talking about how she was scared about Saddam Hussein etc.But she said she felt safe knowing President Bush is here for our country. Her only concern was what happens when we don't have President Bush.We assured her he has at least 2 more years.Out of the mouths of babes.

God Bless America

Heidi

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am so thankful that President Bush is our leader during these times of crisis and tragedy. His courage and integrity is inspiring. I am so thankful that he looks to God for the strength and insight he needs to lead our nation. I keep him in my prayers, as I know he has some very difficult decisions to make on a weekly/daily/even hourly basis. God bless America!

I saw that clip of the president and the dog. Man, that soldier couldn't help but smile when the President came back down the stairs. It was really cool to watch. Thanks for the post.

Thanks, Laura, for posting this. I couldn't agree more.

Awesome post! As a former Navy wife, I can tell you how important it is to feel the respect of your country and, most of all, your Commander in Chief. I'm forwarding this message as well.

Thank you for posting this. It is so refreshing to see some support for our great president, as opposed to all the bashing that he usually gets (often on this very site). I voted for GWB and couldn't be happier that he is leading our country through this time as opposed to Gore. You can bet I will be voting for him again in 2004!

When I was younger I thought it was weird that my Grandparents would have us pray together for the President. In my young mind I thought "well, hey's a great guy & all, but we don't even know him, why are we praying for him?"

As I grew older I understood praying for the country, but still didn't quite grasp praying for the individual.

The wisdom in the practice became apparently clear when our country was attacked. When I looked at Bush's eyes, I saw pain & sorrow, but I also saw strength & determination, which comforted a nation in chaos. His words that which sometimes were unsure before, were confident, bold & uplifting. We had some to look to for strength...but who did he have to assure him that we'd endure? Who would comfort him & let him know that everything would be ok? And then I looked at him & I knew. God bless the President.

DH, who is a SS agent, truly appreciates and respects GWB as his "boss". :) He often comments that the President rarely keeps the SS agents waiting, and treats them with utmost respect.

I have a lot of issues with GWB's politics, but I think he is a good man.

What a wonderful, eloquent comment Jeff. Thanks!

I loved reading this post and all of the responses. I too am a firm supporter of President Bush and will continue to support him even if I don't totally agree with him at times. He will get my vote again!
