Silver Creek
It is a small village- that is somewhat run down, many of the houses really need updating. But it's a safe place to live. Most of the houses are from the 1800's, including my own.
We have 1 stop light in town. Along w/ a traditional, old-fashioned town sqaure, complete w/ a white gazebo and a large white church behind it. It's very post-card looking.
We have one small grocery store, not a large chain one. We do have like 5 churches. We have a Rite Aid, 2 pizzeria's, no gas stations, and the school sites on the outskirts of the village. If you leave the village by about 5 miles you'll find the NYS Thruway and the Seneca Nation Indian Reservation.
We are surrounded by a lot of farm land, mainly grapes.
One of the "sweetest" things about our village- we have Petri Cookie Factory right in town. It's just a small factory (on the scale of factories(. However, you can almost always smell cookies baking in the air. There is nothing like going outside and smelling cookies baking.
