This is my story.

I had The Best time at DIS-Con last year! And although everyone else had 'the best' time too, I had a better time.

Last year, I felt I was very very very informed. I had fun making my itinerary and changing it over and over and over again. I was nothing less than excited! And I wasn't the least bit nervous about meeting everyone. I know that I told some of the newbies that I was nervous too--but truth be told, I was just trying to make them feel better. I honestly wasn't nervous at all! Everyone was exactly as I pictured them....physically and socially. I expected to have fun....and I did!!!......but I never expected to leave with new life-long friends. ::sniffle sniffle:: I have had the pleasure of knowing and sharing with some of the most wonderful people this year. I'm not kidding. They are going to make a movie about us someday. Something along the lines of Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Hmmm, I wonder what they would call it. Anyone want to guess?

Anyhow, I just wanted to add that I had The Best time of my life last year! And I would love to do it all again. See you all at WDW in December.

Oh I know....the movie will be titled Meet Me In December.

Now we all know that the rest of this story is that as soon as Tia arrived at WDW, she "lost" her itinerary and just went with the flow. But because she was surrounded by friends she was never lost her self and always knew where to go to have the best time. Where ever we were!

So you see the moral of the story is that even if you are prepared once you get there it all goes out the window because you never know what is going to happen next.

And if you come unprepared or are nervous, have no fear, because you will be surrounded by others who are having the same thoughts and you can just go with the flow.

OMG Tammy! That is so true! My true 'aversion to commando mode' was unveiled at DIS-Con! I never, not once, had an itinerary. I sort of remembered the general plans, but I was constantly asking where to go next. LOL LOL

And Tammy speaks the truth.....no one was ever left wandering to fend for themselves! No one! Never! LOL In fact, if you wanted or needed to be alone.....you had better have a really good reason AND you were going to have 'work at it' because being alone was not really allowed. LOL

just a little example of never being alone.....if you thought you were just going to slip into the bathroom real fast and then catch up with everyone......BWAHAHAHAHA.......everytime I said I had to go to the bathroom, everyone else had to also.

Tia, I never went to the bathroom with you! However, I laughed a lot with you. It was wonderful.

You can't be shy at DISCON, I don't think, unless you hide out somewhere, because we just make you part of our group

Tia, don't you know that it's the power of suggestion. Once someone says they have to go to the bathroom, everyone gets the idea. In fact, I have to go now.
Besides, we were having so much fun, we didn't want it to stop just cause we were going potty.
I had no idea it would be so hard to leave you all at the end of DIS-CON. We packed so much in to such a short time, it was like we had always been friends and that we'd known each other forever. It's such a great feeling, it really is! And, DIS-CON has produced so many great times this summer, I traveled all over and I'm still traveling!! I couldn't wait until Dec. to see everyone again, that I just had to go to some of the meets that were held over the summer.
We'll all be together again very soon! I can't wait!!

Ahhh Judy, you're right. It should have started that way.

It was my dear friend Judy who hand-typed (LOL! you know what I mean) PeteWerner.com (or something like that) into my favorites menu. She started me out on the Restaurant Board and the Resort Board. We had just gotton back from The Poly the month before, so I had a lot to say back then. And from there, a very bad, terrible, horrible, unforgiving addiction was started. Thank you Judy! let's see , one thing i can share about Tia that you won't learn from DC, is that you could eat off of her bathroom floor and be OK !
