I prefer Christmas Eve to the actual Christmas Day holiday. There's just something about the anticipation- the whole feeling of the day. I love the decorations, the music, even the commercials on tv are good! Who else feels this way?? I know I'm not alone!

I also prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. I love the anticipation and never want Christmas to come too fast. After it comes, it's all over! I love the week leading up to Christmas. Things are about as decorated and Christmasy as they're going to get and you can just enjoy everything without the letdown of it all being over!

I really like both, I don't know if I prefer one over the other. When I was little Christmas Eve was the slowest day of the year, but now I really like getting everything ready.

I really enjoy wrapping, holiday baking, decorating, etc. And I'm going to be a little sad on Monday knowing it's all over again until next December.

Me too. I get that sad feeling sometimes during Christmas like I do on the last day of a Disney vacation. Aww, it's almost over. :goodvibes

I agree. While I love Christmas day, it is kind of a let-down. Once the presents are opened, the food eaten etc. its just over. done. All the preparation, shopping, decorating, wrapping, christmas movies, cookie baking, and all that good stuff leading up to the holiday is over.

Ah, well there's always New Years Eve..............

I love it too. I love the anticipation and with little kids there is nothing better than playing santa. :)

Christmas Eve was the main celebration in my family for years and years. Now that I'm married and have kids, Christmas day is a bigger deal. We still drive 2 hrs to see my family on Christmas Eve (except this year because of weather and DD9 getting sick) and then have Christmas morning at home to ourselves, going to the inlaws (15 min away) late morning for dinner and presents there.
