Sigh....alas, the queen could not attend "This is Love" due to the royal consort's (aka Santa Baby, aka Tim) schedule, so instead here I sit, receiving half hourly phone call reports from Michael and Robin on all the festivities...

From what I understand, this event did not sell out. There were 1000 tickets, 750 attendees. As Ed said earlier, merchandise pick up was a breeze, but he didn't mention anything about the merchandise. Michael and Robin both agree that the crown and armoire pinsets are beautyful, and Robin reports that the Sleeping Beauty framed set is "to die for"!

The meal was sumptious. The revelers dined al fresco, and from what this reporter understands, Michael and Robin dined with Ed and Donna and June and Bob. Many people are dressed in period clothes and rumor has it that Bob decided to go "in costume" and wore a wig. It also seems that a man was seen around the Magic Kingdom dressed as Cinderella:eek:

The show in front of Cinderella Castle was an embellished version of the show that is performed during the day. After that, all attendees were given a color coded satchel, with candy and clues to help them on their quest to find Cinderella's glass slipper.

stay tuned for the next installment of "This is Love"

Part two: Dessert

Not a great report...

Throughout your quest, you may fortify yourself in Fantasyland to feed that "sweet tooth" with a variety of chilling desserts.

The dessert was red velvet cake..there was no variety of chilling desserts.

Meantime, the revelers are riding rides in Fantasyland and have yet to find Cinderella's slipper...

Thank you for the update!!!

We look forward to hearing more from Michael and Robin
when they get back. Us to Leslie!!! We wish we could
have gone.

It probably would have sold out if it was not in the middle
of the week, some of us that would have to travel and
have kids had school and work to attend with so we could
not make it up there :( But we are glad everyone had such
a great time. With the reports coming in it sounds like we
might just have some cool events to look forward to in
2004!!!

We are also excited to hear the theme for the November
Pin Event Cruise!!! VILLIANS!!!! How cool is this!!!

NOW it is up to Disney and Special Events to really use
some of the Major Villians that everyone really like (hint
hint) and they should have another very cool event to
look forward to!!! Cant Wait.

Really wish we could have gone to the event yes, but we
wanted to see and visit with everyone there!!! Miss
Everyone Badly, geez I think it has been 4-5 weeks

I feel a trip coming!!!!

Dana :)

I just wanted to say This is Love was a fabulous event. We had such a great time, and I am looking forward to doing another Special Event in the future!

I had a lovely time. I did not eat any of the cake but the white chocolate slipper filled with truffles certainly made me very happy. A very nice "special" treat.

I really appreciated it that we were allowed to pick up the merchandise throughout the day prior to the event. It was very nice not to have to lug stuff throughout Fantasyland.

I heard there were supose to be a number of characters out at this event. Did anyone who go manage to see any?

The villains were out in force. I also saw Aurora and Prince Phillip and Ariel was in her grotto with Prince Eric. The "characters" I enjoyed most, however, were the guests dressed as their favorites-the tiny Snow White being carried by her "evil queen" mommy, the three good fairies, Cinderella with her "fairy godmother" and a rather amazing Ursula.

Hey Meeko...who's that handsome feller in your avatar?? :teeth:

Why, it's The Prince formally known as "Beast" of course. ;)

And thanks for your reply bevgray.

Well, of course it is...same handsome guy is in my avatar (two seconds before the hottest kiss in a Disney movie!)! :D
