THIS IS FOR Sonya.

I cried when we won, it was just such a crazy game! You guys played your butts off and almost had us there I was sweating for sure!!
They showed this video on TV about what the olympics meant to Canada and it had me in tears I was so proud :cloud9:

I'm also really curious as to how popular that game was in the US...I mean in Toronto, and the surrounding area, in Vancouver, in Montreal every bar/restaurant/house was packed full of people watching the game, after the game there was a party in the streets here EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE was going crazy. I was just wondering if the game is as popular in America as it is here, were the bars packed in your city? Did people really care all that much? Just really curious.

not at all. nobody really watches it. maybe in the olympics it was big, but not usually.

Im going to get really into it now...lol And Im trying to get an original D1 Mighty Ducks jersey...Conway of course...lol

hahaha. i watch A LOT of hockey because on of my best friends brothers play it so i'm always at games for school, middle school, club teams, and even JV games even though her brother plays varsity hahahaha. i'm so into now!

I don't think, at least from what I can see, that Americans care too much about any of the sports in the Winter Olympics. They only care when it IS the Olympics. America is pretty football, basketball and baseball obsessed. No one I really talk to IRL got too excited for hockey, they just wanted USA to win because it's their country.

My history professor is from London and he was saying today that the English will kick the Americans butts in London, to put it nicely. :rotfl:

I love him and his accent.
lol! probably not. we fail at the olympics xD
