I just got a phone call from my sister down in Florida.. The folks I met last year keep hounding the living daylights out of her wanting to know when I'm coming down.. Well it seems there's a party on Feb. 13th and they want me to be there for it so they all want to chip in and send me the airfare to fly down and back.. I told her I couldn't possibly do that with the house closing up in the air and someone in the background pipes up and says, "Have her give power of attorney to her daughter, son-in-law or attorney.."
These people are nuts!!
I had no idea I made such a great impression on them.. Next year should be a blast! 
I still plan on making a 2 week trip this year - sometime in March - but there's no way I can just walk away from this house situation and let someone else take care of it, you know? For a bunch of retirees, they sure are into having fun!
