I dont know where to put this and i am so sorry if this is in the wrong thread and so sorry for bad punctionation spelling and such ahead of time because i have no time to spare!
My pen pal whom i have known for over 4 years whom i met on the americangirl club just said her sister's ex-boyfriend has been cutting himself and has been thinking alot about committing suicide. Only my friend and a few others know about him wanting to do this and are standing there doing nothing. My friend said she was told by another friend that if she told that the kid is going to commit suicide that he would kill himself faster. Ive been trying to tell her she needs to tell somebody but she thinks everybody is going to hate her! Please help me i dont want to see this kid do this!

i dont know if i could possibly find 1 for her she lives all the way in atlanta georgia, i live in nevada... she isn't going to listen to me this time i dont think.. she is really scared but yet i dont know how to explain it.

She's right!! Encourage her to find a teen hotline, or a suicide hotline!
Don't back off, your friend needs to talk to them!
They can help her know what to do.

First off, calm down. You can call the cops. They do that stuff all the time.

This sounds like it is going on right now? Skip the middle man and call the police directly. They can get the kid into a hospital on a hold ASAP. If he has made statements to your penpal OR her sister they will need to tell all...but it might save a kids life. Your friend calling a hotline will only cause delay because then the hotline will contact the police...

apparently he said he has cut himself 4 times since him and the girlfriend broke up 2 weeks ago, and has seriously thought of suicide, and a matter just happened that is making him think of it more and more.

BTW - if they hate her - they weren't good friends to begin with. In my book saving a life is called a HERO and she would be one.

i told her all of these things and she said no she cant call these numbers she doesn't want to talk to strangers about it, she doesn't know how serious this is she is 13.. i am almost 16 i dont think her sister knows all of this, im trying very hard to get her to call somebody or talk to her dad or somebody, and now she is really upset saying the whole thing is her fault and even her parents divorce was her fault and she is completely having a break down. I just dont know what to say or do anymore.
