I've had one (still wrapped of course and untouched) in my desk drawer since August....when I got back I decided I wanted to save it for a day when I just needed a little extra Disney fix. I still haven't eaten it!! Is this bad?? :rotfl:

Does anyone else do weird stuff like this? popcorn::

I love those things! Are those the ones dipped in Choc?

YES IT IS!! Haha. Yeah I'm afraid to try to eat it now if it's not going to be any good I would rather just look at you know? LOL.

I also have some gummy bears from Goofy's Candy Company in here just from April (senior trip) and strawberry Pocky from Japan in Epcot lol. But the pocky isn't as special since I could get it at Wegmans hahaha.

We brought some fudge back like that one year. Kept it in the fridge for about 6 months or so. It was REALLY hard, but we still ate it...a little at a time. ;)

Yeah, I would eat it if it doesn't have an expiration date! :yay:

Haha thanks guys.

I'm not gonna eat it today, although yesterday probably would have been a good time LOL.

Yeah I mean they aren't actually made from hand right? They are made someplace offsite? I don't think regular rice crispies go bad unless they are opened so this is probably ok?

Count me in as one that keeps the treats too long.

It still tasted okay. I'm sure it would have tasted a bit better if I hadn't waited months and months to eat it.

My oldest daughter regularly saves Halloween candy for up to a year. She doles it out to herself, tiny piece by tiny piece, then often ends up eating a fair bit of it the first week of the next October since she knows she's going to get a new stash. The chocolate gets a "bloom" on it and I suspect some of the candies taste stale but she never seems to mind. I do try to get her to eat the ones with nuts in them early on because I'd think they'd get rancid, but I think most of the issue with old candy is taste not health.

My sister sent us rice crispie bars that she'd made when we were in Korea, meaning they were weeks old by the time we got them, and they were really hard, but not bad. They do have some fat in them, but all that sugar probably means they keep pretty well in terms of not spoiling. :)

I bought a Mickey Rice Crispie treat once and I think it was old because it had small ants in it or something! It was so gross. They were alive.

Given the advances in preservatives, it probably has a half life of 20-30 years, and would probably become the staple if (heaven forbid) Armageddon was to occur. :)

We brought back 15 last summer from our June trip. I ate the last one the first week of August and it was stale tasting, but we also kept them in the fridge so that could be why!

We brought a bunch home, and ate them up to about 3 weeks later.

They were ok, but clearly not fresh.

From August, I would toss it... or put it in a jar and watch it deteriorate over then next year... but don't eat it.

We brought Mickey shaped rice crispies home from our last trip, (just the plain ones), and I tried eating it one week later and it was stale. Yuck!

I have 4 of them I brought home so many back in 2007 haha They still look the same I just could never throw them away. I was saving them to eat for a special treat for myself and then forgot about them, I would not eat them now. I guess I can put them in the trash since we will be going back to get more soon.
