One of our contracts is complete. Took me a few hours to navigate through the DVC site to book a trip. Got it done. First week of February we will be at our home resort SSR!

Well tip of the iceberg. Had to get golf scheduled for the BF. Well if he golfs I get the spa! Booked that. Called MS and got our PAPs. Now I gotta do FPs yet. Holy smokes. TIW card when we get there and have to arrange for an Owners Locker!

Is there anything I'm missing?! LOL

Ammm.....food reservations???? (I assume you are getting the TIW card for sit down/good(decent) food options).

Get back to work! :P

We are taking a crock pot to use in the room for probably half the days. We will probably wing dinner the others.

However, I was just looking at the Owners Locker website....don't think that's going to save us any. When we go to Disney for a week we usually drive. We were just going to get an owner's locker for those quick four-day weekends we wanted to take on-the-fly (& there won't be many). The price won't justify using it once or twice so that's one thing off the list!

Will you be eating/ drinking $500 worth of food in a year? That's the break even point for TiW. If it is just 2 of you, you may be ok without making ADRs.

;) That's the thing about DVC it changes all your "rules" eventually. 5 years later we fly, have two OLs and a TIW card. We love it but I never knew it would change our trips like it has...

Yep.....Especially when we found the ability to get a $95 or less round trip flight on Spirit. Never would have considered a 3 day weekend at Disney before.

I've seen a few of those on Allegiant for our area and we said the same thing!

A little known secret with Spirit that gets it so cheap is purchasing at the ticket counter instead of online. If I were to buy a ticket online today....if I drove to the airport and purchased at the counter instead....I save @ $16.99 per flight segment less. $33.98 round trip. Sometimes more....sometimes less...but usually right at those numbers. Very wierd..but I'll take it. I live 30 minutes from the airport, so when the 4 of us travel....that's a $132 savings! Spirit doesn't always offer such low fares. Sometimes the prices don't always line up with availability....but I got lucky in September. Found a cheap flight AND an Open room for the weekend at SSR less than 2 weeks in advance. Boom....surprise 3 day birthday trip. (everyone but me in the house has a birthday within a 22 day period)

We're about an hour away from AC ,so what you're saying is if I find a flight say 2 weeks from now and drive down here and been it at the airport I could save on average of 35. RT per person?

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. You don't have to buy at the AC airport counter. If you are in Philly, you can buy at the PHL Spirit counter. It doesn't matter where your flying out of....It's just cheaper at a spirit airport counter. I am 30-40 minutes from AC. I bought a flight at the AC counter flying out of baltimore before.

Online our flight I just purchased a few weeks ago was $53.09 down, and $78.09 back. I drove to the AC airport (you get to park for free for 1 hour) and paid $95.20 per person round trip. So I actually saved $35.98. If you look on the website, it says at the very bottom in small print lower fares generally available at the airport

I'm not saying buy the day you fly! I'm just saying when you purchase, do it at the counter instead of online or on the phone. And if you're in Cheltenham, go to PHL....Spirit has a counter there, no need to go all the way to AC to purchase it.
