This here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!A Nov PTR without baby; update 31/10

Hello, fellow maritimer! I'm subbing :)

I hear you on so many counts -- flights are crazy! We are airmiles collectors so we manage ok.
My DH and I built our own house the year before last. We moved in last January. What a crazy difficult experience, but well worth it. I love my little house. Yours looks beautiful! You must feel so proud.
We flew out of Maine in 2008 but living in Cape Breton, the drive home was just too long. With our airmiles we get to fly right out of Sydney this year which will be great, and only one stop in Toronto!

My two cents :goodvibes

Your new house looks really really nice! so excited for you! :woohoo:

Thanks for the tips, I'm hoping to fit everything we haven't done yet.

OMG I never thought of airmiles, and we collected a bunch by building. I agree with the crazy difficult experience, but as you said it will be worth it. I definitely will only be building once though. It was tough during the pregnancy and now with the baby. We had an appartment, but our lease was up and we didn't want to sign for another year since we'll be in the house in the next couple of weeks, so we're in my in-laws basement and it sucks. I can't wait to move.

Wow, you got great flights. I sometimes hear horror stories in using airmiles but not in your case.

Time flies when you're moving. :)
It's been such a long time that I don't know where to start.

First off, we have less than a month before we leave.:banana:

As far as updates go, I've booked the Wishes Dessert Party and I can't wait. Yum. I was also looking on renting a car for a couple of days for when we go to Universal. I was stalking the Car rental threads on the transportation board and ending up getting a full size for the whole trip for $88.00. I'm really excited, because we have a lot of resort dinners and we won't have to deal with Disney transportation after dinner.

With all that I thought I would post our itinerary.

November 10th:

-Leave after DH gets home from work @ around 5pm
-Drive to Portland and stay overnight there.

November 11th:

- Get up early and continue our drive to Manchester, NH
- Shop for the day (hoping to get Christmas shopping done for the kids in the family)
-Check in our park n' fly hotel at around 4pm.
- Get to bed early (early flight next morning)

November 12th:

-Fly out 6:25am
- Arrive in Orlando at 9:50am
- Get rental car
- Check in AKV
- Lunch at Planet Hollywood DH didn't want to eat at Sanaa when I showed him the menu. Since we have a car now, it'll be easy to get to DTD.
- After lunch hopefully our room will be ready and we can unpack.
- Then head to MK
- Dinner at Tony's at 8pm, hoping for a patio seat to watch MSEP at 9pm.
- Wishes at 10pm and EMH until 1am.

November 13th:

- Boma breakfast at 7:30am
- Head to Epcot for RD
- F&W kiosks for lunch and tour WS at the same time
- Dinner at Coral Reef at 6:45pm
- Illuminations at 9pm

November 14th:

- DHS Rope Drop
- Lunch at Sci fi at 11:35am
- Whole day at DHS
- Osbourne lights
- Dinner at the Yachtsmen at 8:30pm

November 15th:

- AK Rope Drop
- Lunch at Yak n' yeti at 11am
- Stay at AK until about 3pm
- Back at resort and hopefully nice enough for the pool
-Dinner at Ohana at 8:20pm

November 16th:

- DHS day
- Lunch at Mama Melrose at 12:20pm
- Fantasmic 6:30pm
- Dinner at Artist Point at 8:40pm

November 17th:

- Epcot RD
- FW today
- Lunch at Le Cellier at 12:25pm
- If weather is nice, might go back for a swim
- Dinner at Narcoosees's at 7pm
- Might do Jellyrolls, if not too tired

November 18th:
- Check out AKV early
- Head to MK for 8:10am breakfast at Crystal Palace
- Lunch at LTT at 12:55pm
- Leave MK in early afternoon and head to OKW to check in there
- Cape May dinner at 8:15pm
- Might head to DTD if not too tired

November 19th:

- Breakfast at Kona at 7:30am
- Drive to Universal
- Universal all day closes at 7pm, but we'll leave a little earlier
- MK for wishes dessert party at 10pm

November 20th:

- Check out OKW
- head to airport for 10:35am flight
- arrive in Manchester at 1:25pm and drive home.

So that's it. The only problem is I don't like the last 2 full days. On the 18th, we have 3 meals, which I said we wouldn't do this time, but I don't know what to change?? Another thing is I would really like to do DTD that night and take the boat from OKW, but our dinner is late and we might be too tired. I'm thinking of changing the Cape May ressie to Raglan Road, even though we went on our honeymoon and didn't enjoy the food. Another option would be to have dinner at Olivia's, but there aren't too many reviews.
Or I could do another Signature instead of lunch at LTT and dinner at Cape May. But which one, I would have tried Cali Grill, but it's all booked up, so I was looking at possibly Flying Fish, but I'm not sure anymore.

The other thing is the Saturday the 19th, I'm not sure what to do for dinner. I don't want to eat too much since we have the dessert party at 9pm. We might just eat something at Universal in the afternoon and hopefully it will tie us over until the dessert party.

Any opinions and suggestions are strongly welcomed.

On another note, we went for fall pictures with Lia. So far I just got sneak peeks and I can't wait to get them all. Here is one for you guys.

Looks like great plans to me! :confused3 I'm not very good at managing the ADRs when they get complicated :rotfl:
Lia is absolutely precious! I hope you post some more of the pictures!

I really loved Flying Fish when I went in 2010, it was quite yummy! The cheese plate was so good and the risotto and calamari was out of this world yummy.

Seriously cute photo of Lia!!! :lovestruc

Joining in. My daughter just turned 3 months a couple weeks ago. I am always looking for Disney outfits for her and only have a couple. I will have to check Walmart out. When I went they had nothing. I guess it is different in the states. :confused3 I will look online. Love the pictures of your house. It is gorgeous. Your daughter is adorable!!

I know what you mean about managing ADR's. Right before the 180 day mark, I was having nightmares. Next trip, will be with Lia and we will probably opt for the QSDP. It seems a lot easier, especially with a baby.

After you said this, I went ahead and made a reservation for Flying Fish. But since then it's changed. I will post it in an update.

Thanks, doesn't the time just fly with babies. Everyone tells you, but it's really unbelievable. I haven't had much luck with the Disney baby outfits. We hope to bring her in January 2013, so I have until then to find stuff. I'm hoping to hit the World of Disney store on our trip and hope to find stuff there.

Ok, so we won't be in Disney, but technically we're leaving on Thursday November 10th, when DH gets home from work. We're hoping on getting to Bangor. Then the next day we won't have as far to drive to get to Manchester, which means more shopping time.

We've also decided to stay overnight on the Sunday. Our flight gets in at 11:25am, but by the time the shuttle picks us up and gets us to our car. Plus we lose an hour because of the time change and the 8-9 hour drive, we'd probably only get home at 1 or 2 am. So we'll stay and hopefully do a little more shopping and we'll have the day to drive home on Monday, plus we won't have to drive in the dark. I hate night driving.

I did end up changing our 3 meal day, to 2. At first I had Flying Fish, but really wanted CRT of Cali Grill, but they were all booked up. Well last night a 5:50pm ADR for Cali Grill magically appeared, and I grabbed it.:banana::banana:
Really looking forward to this meal.

I did get Lia's photo's, here are a few of my favorites.

I'm glad to hear you liked Cali Grill, although I haven't read many bad reviews there.

Now you'll have your own adorable little princess. I'm already looking for outfits for her first trip.

10 days until we leave....12 days until WDW :cool1:

I`ve really started packing now and I`m panicking. I can`t find my bathing suit. :scared1:

I still have stuff to unpack since we moved and I`m hoping I find it soon.

On another note, today was Halloween. We are 4 from where I work that are off on maternity leave. We get together once a week and our group has grown to 10 women with babies. Well today we met up and had the babies dressed up.

Here they are.... Lia is the gray cat in the middle.

What an adorable bunch of babies! So very cute. :lovestruc

I'm sure you will find your bathing suit, I do that all the time when I'm packing. Find something at the last minute.
