Except when it was this hot last June I was in the pool until I tuned into a prune!! :rotfl2:

Except for the times you went to the park(s) you mean?

We live in the Houston area and every summer I LOL when my DH or I complain about the heat. Because during the exact same weather, 95 degrees with 60 to 80% humidity we hide indoors at home and walk all over WDW while in Orlando. It's amazing what we'll do for fun.

Hope a cool down happens soon for you. Our's won't arrive until October. :sad2:

I dont know but this heat has got me soooo confused....the AC has been on for two days straight and it still is hot....

DS went to Rice U, and we never were there during the summer, but I remember the heat and the humidity when we visited in the early fall. Then it would rain buckets and we would have steam coming up from the sidewalks and grass, and if you were really unlucky you were standing near fireants! People who live in the Houston area must come from a very tough gene pool!

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. We were extremely lucky with our 4th of July WDW visit, July 1-5. There were clouds and some rain, but all in all, I don't think the temps were even in the 90's.

Oh absolutely! Try and keep me outta the parks! LOL...

Tomorrow we're supposed to get some relief; I hope!

It's another scorcher today in Long Island, New York! To all our friends who think we're crazy for wanting to live in Florida - I'll take this heat any day over a 10 degree blizzard with 2 feet of snow!

I'm with you Mike! I've had it with winter.

You're right... it still hasn't hit 90 down here this week... I thought I was moving to nice hot humid Florida...what happened to the hot part??

I'd move to Florida in a minute; it's DH who is very hesitant. Oh well...at least we have DVC! :thumbsup2

We're seriously thinking about making the move to FL. Just trying to get over any hesitation - not to mention a little thing like a job there!

We were also there during the extreme heat wave last June. I was miserable. Of course, we made it work by being in the pool during the hottest part of the day.

The heat is why I never could be able to move south. I'd rather take a hundred blizzards than have to deal with the constant heat. I actually don't mind the cold all that much. But I've come too close to passing out from the heat enough times to make it the enemy. But then again, I start sweating when it gets over 75.

I'm considering our heat wave here in the northeast my "conditioning" for our Disney trip at the end of the month!

I use to think like that. But as you get "older" you find your priorities change. LOL...I sweat easily too! These past few days here in NY I've gone through more tissues ;). But you've got a great idea here; conditioning for our upcoming trips! Great idea!

Stay cool....

Absolutely!! There was actually a poll on the news the other day, would you rather have a three-day heat wave or a three-day blizzard? Really?? You don't have to shovel a heat wave, or drive on slippery roads in a heat wave . . . give me the heat any day!

You said it Lori! I'm with you!

:cool2: We are former Bronx "kids" (LOL) now located in the Mid Hudson Valley. We said the same as all have mentioned here...good grief this feels like Florida!!! I keep trying to tempt DH with what a good time it would be to buy in Florida...but I'm losing that battle! Keep cool everyone!!!
