that will probbably sound really dumb.
My husband and I were discussing trips we would like to take in the future we both want to go to Europe but we have one little issue... He wont get on a plain He seems to think thiers a passanger boat tht goes between america and anywhere over thier, he wants to go to Italy i want to go to england and spain really i want to go as many places as possible mind you this would not be for years I was just wondering if any one knew if thier were such passanger crossings or do i have to find a way to convince him to get on a plain.

I think you will have to persuade your husband to take the plane to England or Europe as the Atlantic Crossing I think is very expensive.

If you want to go to Italy we were in Venice earlier this year and met some people and I believe that Delta fly direct into Venice now. Well worth a visit more so I think than Paris. From Venice it is easy to drive to Rome and Florence and they drive the same side of the road as you do in America so should not prove a problem. It is when you get over into England you will have the problem same as we do when we visit America.

I know also you can do most of Europe and the British Isles by train and you can get a rail pass for that.

Your main problem is getting across the water - hope you make it.

There are many cruiselines that have trans-atlantic cruises. These are typically a one-way cruise from a US port to a European port.

It would be pricey but you could probably put together a vacation that involved an east-bound transatlantic cruise from the US to say someplace in southern Europe. Follow this with a land based tour of Europe, ending in London and then return on a west-bound transatlantic cruise.

Hi Angelagirl, once you are in Europe/Great Britain you can get around easily driving or by train however your problem seems to be getting your husband across the Atlantic first! Yes you can cruise over but its going to be very expensive!! I think he needs to be persuaded to get on a plane, its really not that bad a flight. I hope you get your wish
