I donno, 954,000 plus threads in english against 1 in spanish. Seems okay to me. Many other threads to "benefit" from.

I have been on the boards for quite some time and i have NEVER seen a post in spanish- that is a first--- but really- who cares? :confused3

Not everyone speaks english, you know. Why discriminate?

So yaksack, are you saying that if I don't read/write English well, but want to get good info about enjoying WDW, I'm outta luck??? My dinero is just as verde at WDW no matter what language I speak. Lighten up! :sad2:

Hilarious :rotfl2:

When I saw that thread I thought it was cool. Boggles my mind that someone would complain over one post. And who cares what language people speak. After all, WDW is the vacation spot for the world.

Neither have I ever come across a Spanish thread - considering the number of DIS'ers, that is pretty good.

THE MAJORITY 99.9 PC of the people are great. Just think of our friends in Japan (Tokyo) and other countries, they type in their language and gets it translated in English.

You can't say they aren't trying

If you see another thread in Spanish and can't read it, hit the back button and find one that interests you.

THE DIS ROCKS :disrocks: :disrocks:

I actually thought the Spanish thread was cool!!!! There are free translators at http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/text.html to help in case you don't speak Spanish...

Disney welcomes everyone, no matter what language you speak....whether you speak, English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Latin, German, or Arabic you are welcome at Disney and you are welcome here! :welcome: :disrocks:

But not everyone speaks English. How would this rule benefit everyone? :confused3

Honestly that is the first time I have seen another language on the boards.

:confused3 If all the threads were only allowed to be in English then those who spoke any other language would not be able to benifit. This is the first that i am seeing this and it did not bother me at all.

In my opinion it is great!!!

I am sure what ever they are discussing you can find in another thread some where else as most peoples questions have been asked and answered 100 times over and the newest most important infromation is always discussed in several threads at one time.

I think you will survive if you cant understand this one. :rotfl2:

Hear, hear! I was also smiling about the Hispanos en Disney thread. My Spanish (despite a recent class!) is pretty terrible, so I can't really understand as much of it as I'd like, but I get enough to know they're talking about what has essentially been said a million times before in English on other threads. If enough Spanish speakers wanted to post here, I'm guessing they'd eventually devote a whole section to it, like they do for other separate forums - but as PP's said, it's just one thread that I am sure is making the OP and others very happy. Why worry about whether you can read/understand it or not? The CM forum is unreadable to anyone who isn't a CM :ssst: and I don't see anyone losing sleep over that. C'est la vie!

OP--welcome to the DIS! You will find many wonderful threads that pertain to you--that are just what you needed to know or wanted to discuss--and many that don't. That's the beauty of DIS--something for everyone!
Enjoy! :sunny:
And to the others--thanks for posting the translating site! Excellent! :thumbsup2 My Spanish is pathetic--maybe this will help! Muchos gracias!
Adios!

Here is what I am referring to: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1121899

Er... How could EVERYONE benefit, when everyone doesn't speak English?

Actually, I found it entertaining to try and use my rusty high school Spanish to decipher the thread. And if I were dying of curiosity and spoke no Spanish, I'd follow the advice of others and seek an online translator.

Relax and think Disney thoughts! :thumbsup2
