My husband has a completly different view, he feels, this is my home for the week, totally inappropriate. He would be disgusted. Hmm.

Cleaning it, fine, but not using it, and we've all read other posts on this thread about mousekeeping using the rooms for other things. I find it rude, vulgar, and totally unprofessional.
But how cool, my first total flame thread!
Y'all are much better people than I, truly - I'd make a bigger stink that she did, and not think twice about it.

Sorry but this part of your post made me
. You'd make a bigger stink than "she" did??? LOL The OP or the maid???
What exactly do you say to the manager? "OMG, the maid pooped in my TOILET and it stunk and I am so violated?!
It a toilet, it's what it is for. As long as it's clean when she's done, I don't have a problem. Omg, what if she needed a kleenex and took one of yours and then threw it in your trash can!! The horror!

I agree with this completely. It would be akward, but it would be really funny and make for a great vacation story. That's better than the time we were driving home from WDW and a toilet in a rest area blew up on my sister.GoofieRuthie said:but I must say that is had meI guess I just have a sick sense of humor, but that would be a hilarious story to tell for many years to come. "How is the mousekeeping at WDW?" "Well, it STINKS, to say the least!"

In all honesty, I wouldn't be mad at all. I would be a little weirded out and embarassed at first, but hey, if I was the mousekeeper and I had to go, why run a mile to another one, when there is a perfectly good potty right there and I have all the stuff to clean it afterward.?![]()

. . .
I don't understand why it's "disgusting". Other people use the toilet and it gets cleaned. I'm sure she would have cleaned it afterwards. If this was a regular thing, then no that would not be OK. But, I'm willing to give this person the benefit of the doubt and assume it was an emergency. I'm sure she knew there was some possibility that the family would come back to the room. If she could have used an employee bathroom, I'm sure she would have. Have a little compassion. She's human.poohlvr said:It is disgusting, and I can't believe that people are OK with it.....they are there to clean the room, and not use the facilities that are YOURS for the time you rented it.
I would have just been embarrassed at first then laughed my "booty" off when I told someone about it. Not a big issue in the whole scheme of life.
