This could be our last trip to WDW

Our upcoming trip will be #6 for DD11 and #5 for DD8. However, we just returned from a cruise to Bermuda. I have to say that my kids loved it - more than Disney!

I could be taking a break from Disney - which wouldn't be bad - Bermuda was absolutely fantastic.

Too bad cruising wasn't cheaper than disney (this one totalled $5,500.00).

I have the same problem with my DD. We go on vacation three times a year and I thought it would be nice to start making one of those trips a vacation to the World. She expressed to me this year that she doesn't want to do Disney again after this trip. :( DH and I are trying to convince her otherwise. We'll see what happens after she gets a taste of the Poly next year. :)

I don't have any advice. I just wanted to say that your thread title made me feel really sad! :( I hope your dd's change their minds!

Wow! I can't imagine my boys saying that--even though they do love to go other places as well!

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Anna,

our family is finally going back to WDW world after a 2 year break.. YEA :) :)

Alli is 13 and Sophia is 4.. so this will be a "new experience" all over again for both of them... Sophia was 2 at the last visit so this will be the one she "really remembers" the tears well up just thinking of her as we walk into the magic kingdom..

this year DH and I went on a trip w out the kids(first time in 3 yrs)
hey he planned it... it was a surprise trip.. he told me to pack shorts.. and my heart was thumping.. disney disney.. when we got to the airport.. we check in.. plane delayed.. rain.. i look over and see families boarding for orlando..sigh... we are going to vegas.... 10 hours later.. he says on the plane.. " We should have gone to disneyworld." duh.... I was too tired to wack him one :) lol

I really don't have any desire to do the Disney cruise, especially when cruises leave out of Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ - which is 1/2 hour from my house or NYC or Baltimore. No flying involved.

Now that we have been on a cruise, and my kids are getting older, I just feel there's more to do than just disney after you've done it a number of times. This year is abnormal for us. If I could afford $10,000.00 a year for 2 expensive vacations, then one would always be disney and one would be to relax on an island with a pina colada ;)

But, that's not in the cards for us. Next year, it's has to be a cheap vacation :(

The year after that my husband turns 50......my kids want to go to Hawaii (they certainly are spoiled!!!). So, I may just start saving for that.
