....That so many people are trying to get their games/quest recognized in order to win, or just to get ppl in their rooms and get on the most popular list....and the second most popular room right now (after the host game) is titled: "Need Boys?" and the room info is (word for word): "which boy wants you and which thinks your cute but not for him.he decides"

I am sorry, but that irks me. Games or rooms for "hooking up" vmk style, and girls waiting in line to see if a boy will pick them based on their vmk looks THAT CAN BE CHANGED BY CLICKING A BUTTON....as most popular room? What is wrong with this picture?

Sorry if that sounds mean, I am in a bad bad mood and seeing this (while my friend AdventureJimBob is desperately trying to get ppl in his quest so he can get best quest...and so people can have fun, too!) just makes it worse. It even makes me madder than the top room being "free stuff" b/c I can understand WHY people would want to go to a room called free stuff. Geez.

And I know what some people will post: "you can have any room you want in vmk, kids like stuff like this, don't knock someone's room idea, yada yada". I just think it's sad that a room like that is so high on the list. It's basically a meat market...reminds me of the "woman auction" in the pirates of the caribbean ride..."We wants the Redhead!"

All it can lead to is hurt feelings and vmk-style cat fights: "he is mine, you beach!" "you are ugly!"

What horrifies me the most is things like this or girls standing in say the fireworks lobby saying "I need a boy" and then you see their sig says something like "Any boy who wants me can claim me." I think it's just a really sad state of our society right now that young girls (and some older ones too) feel like they have to have a boyfriend, real or virtual, and that they have to identify themselves in terms of a man or boy. It's very depressing to me. Where have all the independent, "I want to be the first female in job X, Y, or Z" or "I want to get a Ph.D. or Master's degree" types gone? I know they're around, but the "I want a boyfriend and will not rest until I get one!" type seem to outnumber them by quite a bit.

this is just plain sad! i mean, sorry NEXT! reminds me of that bit in pirates too, except the girls werent all that willing. well except the fat one and the redhead. girls, do you want to become that fat woman pirates dont want to buy? or will you become the smart harvard professer who laughs at the fat woman when she takes her yearly pass on the rids.

I know, that bugs me too. I never did see the big deal in having a boyfriend. At 18 all my friends think I'm weird, but with school, a job, sports, and VMK, I really don't have time for a boyfriend! I mean, sure, it'd be nice to have the attention, but I'd rather have a good job in the future than be popular with boys now. Besides, many girls end up compromising themselves and their standards when they have boyfriends before they can marry. Since I want to stay pure for my future husband, I think it's best not to put myself in a situation where something could happen, so no boyfriend for me!

Call me weird if you want, but I prefer to focus on my education. And VMK, of course!

Wow, that really is just so wrong - little girls lining up like that to get the approval of some boy they've never met (who is probably some 500-lb , 46-yr-old Goth guy - yes, that was for you, Pixiewytch! ) . I saw one today called "Boys Meet Girls - Club Heat." Club Heat? That sounds like they're dealing with some pretty grown-up themes there, and frankly, I am surprised that VMK allows it.
