I have a Gap CC that I have not used in months. Today I bought a coat for Avery on clearence. I come home, get the mail, and I have a $10 reward certificate for Gap. Guess I will have to go back and get that coat I was admiring.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Pier One sends me those ALL the time. But, the closest one is 45 minutes away from me though, so I don't use them all that often.

It happens to me alot when I shop online. I buy certain items, then one or two days later, there is a sale, or free shipping if you spend a certain amount-which I did .

Do you think the store would honor the $10 discount for your previous purchase? I know some stores will give a discount if you bought an item that went on sale within a specific period after your purchase. Might be worth a shot if you're going back anyway.

I will probably take my receipt in and ask. If not it's no big deal. I can always find something to buy in there.
