We just got back from our third trip to disney since yoamd started and for the third time, we didn't win any prizes. I don't go around expecting to win and barely think about it but still.... how do some people win two or three times a trip? Saw lots of lucky winners though and missed dream ears by literally 20 seconds at one mans dream.

I have come to figure that it's the magical experiance rather then the dreams that make the trip though.... like at the Mexican boat ride in ecpot, a cm was talking to ds and asked if he'd been on the ride before and he said it was his fav ride in disney and she made him her vip and we walked to the front of the line and they gave us our own boat and we could ride as many times as we wanted even though there was a rather large line.

Oh and it was awsome that my dd finally gave test track and mission space a try and loved them!

Well, that certainly sounds like a dream to me! Even if it isn't actually part of the promotion, what a unique and exciting thing for your DS!

I had to post because I have been 8 times since YOAMD began. I'm an AP holder and I live 3 hours away. I have never gotten anything. It's become funny now, because I'm constantly around people when they win things.

Oh well. I'm headed there again this Fri, that will have to be dream enough for me:goodvibes

we have had 3 trips to DLR/WDW since the YOMD started. We have had a total of 17 days in the parks, and no dreams! In fact, I haven't even SEEN the DT. It's ok, though, we had a great time on each trip! But, I still want to win the DVC membership!!! And, yes, I will be back before the end of the promo, if at all possible!!!:thumbsup2

I haven't been to WDW since 1990. Since then, we've bought a house, adopted one child, given birth to 2 others, and I was a SAHM for six years. Last year I returned to teaching in the wonderful school I left in 2000.

For us, this trip and the family we're bringing on it is the dream. I'll be more than happy to receive a lanyard or something, but I'm not counting on Disney to make my dreams come true.

My family and I had been to one of the disney parks at least 50 times before we finally won dream fastpasses at MGM. That was back in July. We've easily spent another 30 days in the parks before we were dreamed again with ears. It's nice, and so easy to get caught up in the hype. But then I think, ok, I've spent at least 80 days at the parks. That should be more than enough.

We have been several times recently (like 6 times since YOAMD started), and last year we got a dream certificate when my DD4 got to pin trade with a board. She got 30 seconds to pick something and I was with her and there was nothing exciting on it. I hardly call that a "dream," but it's not like I expected a castle night win.

I would really like a lanyard, so if you are reading this Disney, I'll be back this weekend, then 3/2-3/4, and again 9/20 - 9/26. :worship: I also mailed you 4 mail entries ;)

I'll be the one :yay: & :cheer2: when you walk by with one of your big black bags!

I have been to WDW 4 times since YOMD started and nothing! :sad2: I will be there again in april, July, and November of this year. I dont expect to win anything these coming trips, maybe then I win a dream........LOL

But all kidding aside Im very luckey to be going as many tims as we did to WDW, so as far as Im concerned Im a winner just to be there.

Oh! I almost forgot I was standing very close to 3 families that did win dreams it was very nice to witness 2 families were very excited and the other had no idea what was going on.

I hear everyone....3 trips- 21 days this past year...and nothing...not even seeing someone getting one. OK no biggie. I have 3 more trips planned this year...we'll see.

I have lots of hope that we will something.
Was there twice last year for a total of 17 days and we have 3 trips already booked for this year with maybe one more at Christmas!

I have to say that we (our car in TGMR) won a 1 free FP lanyard for the Studios on a day RNR was down and I was pregnant so no ToT and all the other stuff on the lanyard had no waiting...but I was still crying with joy anyway! So, even if you win, it might not be anything that good but I hope you all get something... :thumbsup2

Iposted about 3-4 posts up... Well I just returned from my first trip of the year, and I'm happy to announce, we had several "dreams," tiny, but several, nonetheless...

So...
At Norway, we were parking the stroller to get in line for the ride, and a cast member approached us. He asked us if we saw any vikings around that would like to be honorary vikings for the ride. We immediately started speaking "viking" and put pretend horns on our heads while singing. It was quite amusing! Well so he said "well that will work, you'll make great vikings - come with me" We skipped the line all together, and got our own ship and we were announced as the year of a million dreams family.

My daughter was given pins from 3 cast members from their lanyards, and we received 2 sets of Tink YOMD pins!

Lastly we were in line to order food in MGM and after we ordered the cast member said "Wow, Mickey came on my screen and said that you get a free dessert!" Imagine my surprise when my daughter picked Chocolate cake  That's all she needed! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Very cool! I tell ya it's the little things that count. The memories are better then the actual prizes I think.

we just got back. We didnt see any DT at all either. I think it would even be fun just to even see someone win, but didnt see anything.

Can you win and not know it?

Like my daughter was given a certificate at Epcot. Then we were taken to meet the characters. 3 of the characters gave her pins. We were taken in the alt entrace, but we always have to use the alt entrance in her chair anyway....

We have gotten tink pins the last 2 trips. This last trip it was because I handed in a wallet we found on the floor, but last trip it was given to my daughter (no explanation).

I just always wrote it off to her being so chatty cathy and friendly in her little purple power wheelchair. People tend to flock around her in general and she basks in the attention.

So can I declare us winners? LOL

We live about 20 mins away from WDW and since YOMD started we go a few times a month and nothing. We see people with the lanyards and hats but don't see where the team was. But we went to Disneyland in Sept on our honeymoon and boy were we winners:

1)we received FP lanyards
2)the hats
3)Tink pins
4)a HM tour of Fantasyland with bypassing everyone to ride all the rides. Was worth it becasue it was busy.

We were like wow and here at home nothing. We were thinking of one day wearing our Minnie and Mickey wedding ears at WDW to see what would happen. :rotfl2: It is really frustrating my DH really want the castle stay and I told him keep dreaming.:rotfl:

We've done two trips with a total of 19 days and we haven't won anything either. It doesn't bother me at all but it bothers the heck out of my husband.

On our last trip on the morning of our last day we had a great experience though. My girls were dressed in their Alice dresses waiting for her to come out. They were so excited when she came out. They ran up to her and she gave them a huge hug! She talked to my girls for a while and my oldest asked her if she would ride the tea cups with them. Alice told her she would love to. So my two girls got to ride with Alice and the Mad Hatter. It might not have been an official dream but it sure made a wonderful ending to our trip!!!

I am the op of this thread and make it FOURTH trip since YOAMD started and still nothing. It was just my oldest dd and I this trip so we were going on all the big rides, never saw anything being awarded all weekend. Saw people with the lanyards and fastpasses though.

Will be going in May with my other daughter so will we make it fifth trip and no yoamd? Stay tuned to find out!

We were on the Pangini trail yesterday at AK and the group in front of us was the cut off for dream ears. This morning we were at DTD, the family in front of us heading towards the fountain was the last group to get lanyards.

This may be childish and immature of me,but I hate this promotion!! So many people(me included) go so many times and say it's alright with them that they didn't get anything, but IMHO Disney raised expectations so high that people are going away disappointed that they didn't get anything.
