Third trip since YOAMD started and nada LOL -UPDATED 5th TRIP & FINALLY WON!

You're not alone. I have been there 4 times since YOMD's started and haven't won anything. I also send in the postcard everyday and haven't won anything yet. Not only that, I've never so much as seen a dream squad member walking around. I look for their little vests. I've never seen a single thing be awarded. I think I just have really bad luck w/being at right places at right times!

I have seen one family w/the special mouse ears, and I saw one family w/the dream fastpasses but I never saw anyone actually get awarded anything.

I don't expect to win either - but I'd love to see someone win something, just so I could be happy for them. I would feel validated just to see some magic! ;)

I am the OP of this thread... 5th trip to Disney and finally something!!!

I had taken my older daughter for 4 days to Disney a few months ago. So it was my younger dd age 7 chance to go. On our second day we went to see Prince Caspian at the Studios and we passed by One Man's Dream on the way back and my dd wanted to see the Walt Disney movie so we went in and were greeted by the Dream Team and given Dream Fastpasses! Whoo hoo!

My younger daughter is such a smoozer and an all around charming and lucky person. We were talking on the way home about how much she was given for free and how many special things she got to do this trip... I wish I were as lucky as she is. Here is her list ...

--We got a certificate for 2 free ice cream bars of our choice before we even entered the MK on our first day.

--At Tinkerbells Store she got a magical moments certificate and a handful of pixie dust from CM.

--At the Studios she was given a one to keep and one to share Tinkerbell pin set by a castmember.

--At MK she we went to get 2 Sprites and the CM asked my dd who's castle it was and she answered correct and we were given the Sprites for free.

--At MK after we saw the princesses we were in the judges tent and my dd asked to buy cotton candy with her own money and the CM gave it to her.

--At 2 different counter service meals, she was given a free dessert with her meal.

--We rode up front of the monorail twice.

--dd got to say All Aboard on the railroad and ride in the back of the train at MK.

--She was chosen to be on the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, in the High School Musical 2 show, in the Block Party Bash and in Woodys Round Up show.

It was quite the magical trip!!!

Yeah, it got to me for a while but now I just don't care. Hey - I'm at Disney! If anyone has room to complain, it's me. DH and I went to every Disney park in the world last year (yes I realize Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong aren't running this promotion), WDW three times. We've been to WDW six times and DL once since the promotion started and still nada. Nothing. Not even the magical fastpasses!

We have two more shots. I'm going to DL at the end of the month for my cousin's wedding (she's getting married at the Sheraton Universal but doing a day out at DL the day after) and we have a trip back to WDW in October with a group of 11 - all the nieces and nephews and grandparents.

If something happens, great. If not - hey, I've been to every Disney park in the world, right? I win!

march 2007, i was really hopping to win someting and my friends and i saw someone win the dream fastpasses in MK and we were dissappointed but now i just say...hey im in disneyworld....so many people cant go to disney at all.....winning sometihng while im there is the least of my worries

Ive been to WDW twice (3 times in august) and DL twice (3 times in august) since the promotion started...we'll see what happens in august

I can't believe I forgot this one from my earlier post...

My dd tried Test Track for the first time and LOVED it. We did it first thing when the park opened and it was still quiet when we got off so we rode it again. She went to the kidcot stop to get a necklace and color a paper cone for it. She was talking to the cm working the kidcot and told her she went on for the first time and went 2 times in a row. As we were leaving she stuck something in dd's pocket and she came running to me... turns out they were 2 set of 2 fastpasses to use any time of the day at Test Track. So we did a few more things and went back to Test Track and rode again. When we got off this time the same CM was working where you get off the ride. She told Julia to come over and she stuck 4 more fast passes for Test Track in her pocket. We ended up riding the ride 5 times that day and gave one set away.

Wow! What a magical trip she had! How did your older daughter react to all of that?

I have a little confession- before we left for our trip to disney, I made a list of when and where people reported that they had won dream fast passes. I studied and came up with a strategy. Since we were going to be in Disney for two and a half days, and wanted to do all four parks, we needed to make each minute count. I REALLY wanted to win dream fast passes for AK.

So, we got to AK for opening. While the kids went on EE, my friend and I ran to get FPs for the Safari. Then, since so many people reported winning dream FPs early in the am on the pagini trail, we decided to quickly go through it on our way back to EE. We were laughing as I practiced acting "surprised" when we were presented with the Dream FPs. Well, we sailed on through the exit empty-handed. What?! So much for beating the system! Ha Ha- even the best laid plans...

We had a good laugh, a WONDERFUL time, great weather, and friends and family. Who could ask for anything more?

PS- from the EE, we went to straight to the Dinosaur. The family in front of us won Dream FPs! So, If we had not taken that detour on the trail, we woulda got there a few minutes earlier and ... Ha ha -serves me right!

Sunnie, my older daughter was just happy that Julia finally tried Test Track so they can ride it together when we go as a family in the fall!

Woo hoo!! That's great to hear!!! You are a good Mom since there was no jealousy there!! Impressive!!

No there wasn't too much jealousy. I have 4 kids and spend the week with the boys when the girls are in school so they don't get alot of mom time. So I figured I would take them each alone for a little mom and daughter trip. They both did similar activities but also let them do what THEY wanted to do.

Promising presents helps too... LoL
