Does anyone know how much (if any) time the additional track and theater at TSMM and Soarin' have been saving?

I've randomly been checking the wait times on the MDE app just to see if it was a big difference.

From my very unscientific approach it seems like TSMM has had more reasonable wait times, but Soarin's are still very long.

Is there a better report on this anywhere?

The third track has been helping at TSMM waits have been down to around an average of 55 minutes rather than well over an hour.

The third theater at Soarin is open but one of the old theaters is still closed. That theater won't open back up until the 17th.

From what I heard all 3 theaters won't be open until the 18th.

Please tell me this is a typo. Are they really opening with the new film on the 17th without all 3 theaters operational? I would have thought the third theater would have opened on the 17th.

It's actually the 17th, that's when all 3 theaters will open. My apologies. Typo. Fixed now.

We have FastPasses so it wasn't a big deal for us but I would hate to see the standby wait that day with only 2 theaters running...

Thanks for clarifying!

And what does it say that 55 minutes is considered a "reasonable" wait time?

My mentality at Disney especially nowadays is that you're going to wait in lines and there is going to be a lot of people so you just kind of have to deal with it. I'd much rather wait in 55 minute lines than 120 minute lines. I think waits might even drop a tad bit more when Star Wars and toy story lands open. Those things will take the pressure off of TSMM.

From what I've seen the third track has done wonders for Midway Mania, and I'm eager to see if it'll do the same for Soarin' (still waiting for queue povs for both because I want to see how you go to the third whatever :D)

I wouldn't wait either length of time for anything. I'd be a lot less critical of Disney's pricing if I didn't feel like I was paying to stand in line.

From my standpoint you're always going to wait in lines it's part of life. You wait at Disney, at the DMV, at the grocery store, etc. With today's crowds you're never going to walk on every attraction anymore. Maybe a couple if you're lucky but that's about it.

On an 8 year old flat ride?

...it says we are awful consumers
Well when there's nothing else for families in DHS what can you do. Sure I know you'll say don't go but for a lot of people that's just not going to happen.

No...I wouldn't say that.

Go...wait in the line...don't enter the giftshops...don't buy add on ticket events...don't buy "fireworks viewing"

Why? Because it will make them analyze what the CUSTOMER wants...there's always another way.

I can say I don't buy much of anything at DHS and I've never done any add ons. So I kind of have that covered already.

We skipped DHS last year and again this year. My kids aren't old enough (well, they are old enough...not adventurous enough is a better description) for Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roller Coaster, so we probably won't go for another couple of years when other parts like Star Wars land and Toy Story Land are open.
