So this isnt an update for WDW, but it is for a trip that we are taking with Arline. I made our reservation for the Blue Bayou today. Were going to totally wing it on this trip and only make one ADR, the rest were going to do mostly QS or walk ups. Im not really good with that, so Im going to make some plans and then if we want to change them thats fine!
Wednesday February 8, 2012 we will check-in to a 1 br at VGC and were staying until Saturday.
Our room will probably not be ready because I want to arrive around noon. I think we should pick up FPs for WoC so that we can see it from the viewing area that night instead of having Arlines first viewing from the balcony. That is if we get a Paradise Pier View Room.
I think a good plan will be to head to DL, we can get magic FPs for Star Tours, and Space Mtn. and perhaps a regular FP for Indiana Jones. We might even send Fran for the Indy passes while the two of us ride SM. Our goal is to get Arline on as many rides and see as many shows as we can in this period.
I figure that between Wednesday and Saturday well eat two meals a day out and have breakfast in the room (thats three dinners and potentially four lunches.) Arline doesnt want to do any character breakfasts, and were not making any reservations for the fancy places. That leaves us with these options
Table Service
House of Blues
(Arline wanted to do this at WDW, but since we have one here, we can enjoy more of the variety of restaurants at WDW)
Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen
Trader Sams Tiki Bar
Blue Bayou (Friday morning at 11:30AM) only ADR so far.
Carnation Plaza (maybe we might make one breakfast out, perhaps Thursday after MM are over)
Mickeys Backyard BBQ sounds good too
Obviously there are more options, but unless Arline requests something, these are our choices!
Quick Service
Bengal Barbeque
Plaza Inn
Corn Dog Palace
Hungry Bear (Arline wants to try the Fried Green Tomatoes Sandwich)
Riverbelle Terrace (Fran requested this one, and Ive never eaten there)
Redd Rocketts Pizza Port (I love the Chicken Fusilli and have only eaten here twice)
I would like to try the new places at DCA, I think one is Pizza, Pasta and Salad, I dont remember about the other.
OK so there are more places that I want to eat at than possible, however the Bengal Barbeque can be snacks if we split a couple skewers. All I care about is the bacon wrapped asparagus one. Also if we split a cheese and a hot dog between us at the Corn Dog Palace that could be a snack too. Ill need to come to terms that in a Disney vacation, you can never do everything you want to.
Oh well, I guess the only real plans that we have are to go to the Blue Bayou on Friday. Maybe well make a reservation at the Carnation Plaza for breakfast Thursday morning. We can talk about that while on the road to Vegas.
So theres my update on the
Disneyland trip!
