first time was a tour while on NCL
second time was a DISmeet at mini-golf
this time Im thinking of staying onboard ship

anyone else feel "been there, done that"?

In Cozumel??? Heavens NO, I love that port, there are TONS of great excursions and places to go. I would never stay on the ship that day, that is one of my favorite ports. I think you need to investigate a little further, not sure what you've done in the past (mini-golf I can do at home) :confused3 but there is plenty to do in Cozumel that would appeal to all sorts of tastes. :)

Now NASSAU is another story, I can always stay onboard in that port and feel like I'm not missing anything. ;)

Coz is a great port.....

consider a taxi ride to Chankanaab National Park.....great snorkeling ....

I think that's what we're going to do. Heck, my problem is that there appears to be TOO MANY things to do...difficult to choose! :teeth: I guess I'll just have to plan on going back. ;)

Paradise Beach in Cozumel was our fav port stop. We could have stayed there all day--maybe for several days!
We went to Carlos & Charlies right by the port, and that was crazy fun even at 10AM!
I'm sure there are MANY more things we didn't do...
BUT if you feel like you need another day on the ship, go for it. I LOVE sea days!
Happy cruising!

For us our destination truly is the ship. We do try to get off at most ports, but always purposely pick one where we stay on board and enjoy the ship with very few people around. Even when we do go ashore we tend to pick excursions that don't last many hours or just wonder around on our own a bit, but then we get to missing the ship.

This is a personal preference, and to each his own. But don't feel you cheating yourself by staying on board. It's a great time for the pools, a sit down lunch at Lumiere's, spa treatment, deck four chairs and so on.

Stay on the ship in Cozumel...no way, no way, no way.

There is just too much to do and see.

I too love Cozumel and Chakanaab, but there is only one way to enjoy a virtually empty ship - stay aboard!!! It's a once in a lifetime experience!

Also been to Cozumel twice now and won't rush back. If you do venture off the ship, then take an excursion - or you will spend all day either shopping or getting "pie-eyed" at Carlos and Charlie's! Hic Hic  Nat

If you haven't been to Chankanaab, it may be worth the $10 cab fare. The snorkeling was good, the beach was relaxing, the iquanas are amusing and everywhere. The "ruins" and Mayan cultural exhibits were interesting. Wear bug repellant.

If you leave early, you could see it all and be back on a relatively deserted ship by 3PM. There is a $10 or so entrance fee, but it is a clean, guarded beach...I got stung by a jellyfish, it was a minor inconvenience, but the lifeguards sprayed vinegar on it and assured me they would call for medical assistance if I had an allergic reaction (I'm allergic to bee stings).

No reaction and I resumed snorkeling. :rolleyes2
